The Frame Features & Settings

Volume & Sound Settings

To adjust your frame’s Volume, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Go to the Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Sound”

Here you can turn on/off “Touch Sound” and adjust “System Volume” and “New Photo Notification Sound”.

Accessing Sound Settings

  1. Begin at the Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Select “Settings.”
  3. Choose “Frame Settings.”
  4. Tap on “Sound.”

Adjusting Sound Options

Within the Sound Settings, you have several options:

  • Touch Sound : Toggle on or off to enable or disable sound when you touch the screen.
  • System Volume : Slide to adjust the overall volume of the frame.
  • New Photo Notification Sound : Slide to change the volume for notifications when new photos are received. Alternatively, you can turn this off to mute the sound for new photo alerts.

Video Playback Audio

Ensure the “Video Playback Audio” option is switched on for audio during video playback. This can be found at the bottom of the sound settings.

Quiet Time Feature

During   Quiet Time , the frame’s sound is disabled.

To use this feature, follow these instructions:

  1. In Sound Settings, use the toggle to enable or disable Quiet Time.

  2. Tap on “Quiet Time” to set specific parameters:

    • Start Time : Set the time for Quiet Time to begin.
    • End Time : Set the time for Quiet Time to conclude.
    • Repeat : Select the days of the week you wish Quiet Time to be active.

By customizing each setting, you can ensure that your PhotoShare Frame behaves in a way that suits your environment and preferences, whether it’s having audible notifications for new memories shared or ensuring peace during your quiet hours.

Quiet Time Feature

During Quiet Time , the frame’s sound is disabled.

To use this feature, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Sound”
  5. Use the toggle button to enable and disable the quiet time feature
  6. Tap “Quiet Time” to customize the feature’s settings: select start time, end time, and repeating days of the week

Auto On/Off Feature

Auto On/Off allows frame users to set their frame to turn on and off at certain times and on certain days to their preferences.

*Please note this feature is currently available on select frame models.

Please follow the below instructions:

  1.  Go to the Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Auto Turn ON/OFF” and enter your desired settings
  5. Tap “Save”

Clock Feature

To change your frame’s Clock settings, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Go to the Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Date & Time” which will auto-adjust the date/time via your WiFi network
  4. Select “24-Hour Format” to switch between regular and military time

Screen Brightness Feature

Screen brightness can be adjusted to your liking. If you prefer to let the frame adjust automatically, you can leave Auto-Dim feature on.

Depending on which model frame you own, please follow the below instructions to adjust your frame’s screen brightness:

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Auto-Dim” to turn OFF Auto-Dim
  5. Tap “Screen Brightness” to set the brightness level

OR

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2.  Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Display” to adjust “Screen Brightness” to desired setting

*Note the Auto-Dim feature must be turned off to adjust screen brightness

Disney Digital Effects

Disney PhotoShare Frames have fun and exciting digital features that bring a little extra magic to your favorite photos!

  1. Character Cameos : fun digital stickers of your favorite Disney characters! Including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto and Goofy.
  2. Decorative Borders:   colorful digital “mattes” to frame your memories with a touch of Disney charm

Apply one to a photo in the app before sending to frames and it will appear every time that photo is displayed. You can also set your slideshow to display them automatically. Digital Effects update seasonally so you can enjoy them all year long!

To add  Character Cameos  and  Decorative Borders , follow the below steps:

In the App:

  • Open  the PhotoShare Frame App.
  • Tap  the frame you want to send to.
  • Tap  the image you want to add a Cameo or Border to.
  • Tap  ‘Enhance’.
  • Tap  ‘Effects’.
  • Scroll  and select the Cameo or Border you like and  tap  to add it to the image.
  • The image will automatically crop to fit the new Effect, but you can  move it around  until you get the crop you like.
  • Then  tap  the “paper plane” logo to  Send.

On Your Frame:

  • Go to  the frame’s Home Screen.

  • Tap  ‘Settings’.

  • Tap  ‘Frame Settings’.

  • Tap  ‘Auto-Effects’.

  • Tap  to enable/disable auto-effects on slideshow.

  • Slide  the bar to your desired frequency (sometimes, often, always).

  • Tap  to enable/disable holidays or  tap  the calendar to change the date range to your preference.

Digital Auto-Effects

Auto-Effects are Digital Stickers & Borders that will automatically appear on your frame’s photos at random during your slideshow for a little extra fun!

They are enabled on all new frames. To disable, follow the below instructions.

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”

You can customize what random effects show up by adding/removing the desired themes (for example – Birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). These specific themes can also be further customized. For example, if Halloween is enabled, Halloween effects will be present from Oct 1 – Oct 31 by default or can be changed to whichever days you prefer.

Please note that any specific Auto-Effect will only last for the duration of a photo’s appearance in the slideshow. When the slideshow is restarted, each photo will receive a new random effect. Also, any photo that has been previously enhanced through the app will not be eligible for Auto-Effects.


Slideshow Feature

PhotoShare Frame’s Slideshow can be customized to cycle in shuffle or chronological order and at the speed of your choice. You can even change the transition effect for each photo!

To change your Slideshow cycle and speed:

Depending on which model frame you own, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Screensaver” where desired slideshow settings can be adjusted

OR

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Slideshow Interval” to adjust the slide slideshow activation intervals
  5. Tap “Slideshow Options” to adjust desired display settings

Additional slideshow settings can also be found by tapping the photo during the photo slideshow and then tapping the “More” icon.

To change the Transition Effect for a photo, please follow the below instructions:

            1.       Go to Frame’s Home Screen

  1. Tap “Frame Photos”
  2. Select a Photo
  3. Tap photo again and Tap “Settings” (or “More”) on the bottom bar
  4. Tap “Transition Effect” where you can choose the desired effect

Transitions can also be changed while the frame is in “Slideshow” mode. Tap the photo and the Photo Settings bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap “More” and select your desired transition effect.


Auto Dim Feature

Auto Dim is an amazing feature! There is a small light sensor on the bottom right of your frame. This sensor reads the light in the room and will automatically adjust the screen’s brightness for optimal viewing pleasure. If the room is dark, it will default to clock mode so a bright screen doesn’t keep you awake or distract from movie time!

To change Auto Dim settings, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Go to the Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Tap “Frame Settings”
  4. Tap “Display” where Auto Dim can be turned on/off and the screen brightness can be adjusted.

Weather Feature

Weather location is set automatically based on your WiFi data. You can add additional locations as desired.

Please follow the below instructions:

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen

  2. Tap the “Weather” feature

  3. Tap the “+” sign

  4. Type in your desired city

  5. Tap to select the city so it can be added to your Weather widget


SD & USB Ports

There are multiple uses for the SD & USB ports! See below for creative ways to get the most out of your PhotoShare Frame.

Powering Your Frame

PhotoShare Frames needs to be plugged in to use and enjoy. Plug in with the included A/C power adapter, or a USB cord.

PhotoShare Frame Storage

Each PhotoShare Frame comes with 8GB of storage to ensure you have enough space on your frame for all your favorite photos. On average, a frame holds around 5,000 photos, but varies since file sizes vary.

Note that currently, when friends or family send you photos they will always go onto your frames internal storage (not on the USB or SD card). If you find that you need even more space, you can insert an SD card or USB stick into the appropriate port on the back of the frame to move photos/videos to the expandable storage instead, freeing up your frames internal storage.

Adding Music to Your PhotoShare Frame

Currently music files can only be transferred via SD card or USB thumb drive. Upload desired music files (MP3) onto either an SD card or USB drive and insert into the back of the PhotoShare Frame.

  1. Go to Frame’s Home Screen
  2. Tap “Music”
  3. Tap “SD/USB” to copy the music file(s) over

Adding Photos To Your PhotoShare Frame Using SD/USB

Please follow the below instructions to  Add photos using an SD/USB:

  1. Add photos to your SD/USB device

  2. Insert SD/USB device into the frame

  3. Go to the Frame’s Home Screen

  4. Tap “Frame Photos”

  5. Select the SD/USB device to see the photos on it

  6. Tap “Select” and choose photos to be added to the frame

  7. Tap “Copy” and select “Internal Storage” to copy to the frame

Back Up Your Photos Using SD/USB

Please follow the below instructions to  Back up photos using an SD/USB device:

  1. Insert SD/USB device into the frame

  2. Go to the Frame’s Home Screen

  3. Tap “Frame Photos”

  4. Tap “My Frame”

  5. Tap “Select” and choose photos to copy

  6.  Tap “Copy” and select your storage device – SD or USB
