Section 1: Using Rectangular Duct

Remove the filter from the unit and set it aside for reuse.
Attach the Intake Duct Plenum (Item 3) to the Quest 225 Air Intake using six #10-24 sheet metal screws. Four screws are included in the duct kit, and two existing screws from the right side of the unit should be used.
Loosen the two screws on the right side of the unit (do not remove) to fit through the keyhole slot of the plenum, then tighten them back down. Retain these screws for future reuse.
Open and remove the filter door (Item 3).
Slide the filter into the Intake Duct Plenum (Item 3).
Install the filter door (Item 3) over the filter opening in the Intake Duct Plenum (Item 3).
Attach rectangular ducting (not included) directly to the Intake Duct Plenum (Item 3).

Section 2: Using 14″ Round Duct

Remove the filter from the unit and set it aside for reuse.
Attach the Intake Duct Plenum (Item 3) to the Quest 225 Air Intake using six #10-24 sheet metal screws. Four screws are included in the duct kit, and two existing screws from the right side of the unit should be used.
Loosen the two screws on the right side of the unit (do not remove) to fit through the keyhole slot of the plenum, then tighten them back down. Retain these screws for future reuse. Refer to the Safe Zone image in the manual (Section 4.5) if unsure of fastener locations.

Install the filter door (Item 3) over the filter opening in the Intake Duct Plenum (Item 3).
Attach a 14″ diameter round duct collar (not provided) to the duct adapter face (Item 4).

Product Usage Instructions

Section 1: Using Rectangular Duct

Attach the Exhaust Duct Plenum (Item 4) to the Quest 225 Air Outlet using six #10-24 sheet metal screws. Four screws are included in the duct kit, and two screws should be taken from the left side of the unit. Retain the screws for future reuse. Refer to the Safe Zone diagram in the Quest 225 manual (Section 4.5) for the fastener location.
Attach rectangular ducting (not provided) directly to the Exhaust Duct Plenum (Item 4).

Section 2: Using 14″ Round Duct

Attach the Exhaust Duct Plenum (Item 4) to the unit (Item 1) using six #10-24 sheet metal screws (Item 2). Two screws from the left side of the unit and four screws from the duct kit should be used. Retain these screws for future reuse. Refer to the Safe Zone diagram in the Quest 225 manual (Section 4.5) for the fastener location.
Attach a 14″ diameter round duct to the Exhaust Duct Plenum face (Item 3).

Note:
When ducting the unit, it is recommended to use a dedicated duct system for each unit. The maximum recommended run of ducting is 25′.

FAQ

Q: Are the ducting and additional hardware included in the package?
A: The ducting and additional hardware such as screws, duct collar, and drill bit are not provided with the Quest 225 dehumidifier. These items can be purchased separately from any hardware or HVAC store.
Q: Can I reuse the filter after installing the ducting?
A: Yes, you can reuse the filter after installing the ducting. Remove the filter before starting the installation process and set it aside. Once the ducting is installed, slide the filter into the Intake Duct Plenum and install the filter door over the filter opening.

(FOUR FROM DUCT KIT, TWO EXISTING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF UNIT).
LOOSEN THE TWO SCREWS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE UNIT (DO NOT REMOVE) TO FIT THROUGH THE KEYHOLE SLOT THEN TIGHTEN DOWN. REMEMBER TO RETaIN THESE SCREWS FOR FUTURE RE-USE.
OPEN AND REMOVE FILTER DOOR (ITEM 3).
SLIDE FILTER INTO INTaKE DUCT PLENUM (ITEM 3).
INSTALL FILTER DOOR (ITEM 3) OVER FILTER OPENING IN INTaKE DUCT PLENUM (ITEM 3).
ATTACH RECTaNGULaR DUCTING (NOT INCLUDED) DIRECTLY TO INTIAKE DUCT PLENUM (ITEM 3).

USE 1-14” ROUND DUCT
