SETTING UP
SF Assemble the special soldering iron rack as illustrated in the following sketches
OPERATING PROCEDURES
-
Through the connector am the tube time t, connect the soldering iron and feeder, raise the upper cover of the feeder to open the upper I id, and fasten the feed nozzle set screw.
(Excessive tightening of the feed nozzle set screw causes damage to the feed nozzle leading to failure in feeding solder. ) -
Insert the solder shaft in the solder bobbin acne mount it on the solder bobbin holder so that the solder may be taken out from the upper side
-
Supply solder through the supply nozzle with the tention lever opened by the looking knob and insert the solder about 5 to 10m ( 0.2-0.4 in) into the feed nozzle.
-
Release the locking knob.
-
Turn the change – over switch to “MANUAL” and turn on the trigger switch for the soldering iron. Then the solder will be fed out. When the solder is fed up to the nozzle point, turn off the trigger switch and change over to “AUTO”
-
Set the control knob and feed control knob of the feeder to the working temperature and the amount of applicable solder respectively.
- Heat Control Dial 1: Approx. 300°C (572 F) Dial 6: ” 420°C (788 F)
- Feed Control 50Hz 1. 6 am (0.062 in) – 16 m (0.62 in ) 60Hz 20 en (0.078 in) – 20 m (0.78 in)
-
The soldering system will be ready for use in about five minutes after the change-over switch has been turned on. (turn to either MANUAL or AUTO)
-
If the trigger switch is turned on with the change over switch at “AUTO”, solder supply will be regulated by the feed control knob. With the trigger switch on at “MANUAL” position of the change-over switch, the solder supply will be constant and can not be controlled by the feed control knob.
-
When supplying new solder, cut the solder end straight with a cutter. ( A slant cut causes solder jam in the tube. )
-
IN CASE OF VERTICAL USE You can support solder bobbin by using solder bobbin shaft fitting & fixing screw. When you fix the body, please use fixing hole on the bottom case.
MAINTENANCE
CHANGE OF SOLDER DIA Follow underwent ironed procedures :
- With the change-over switch at “OFF” position open the tention lever by the locking knob, and wind the solder remaining in the tube unit on the bobbin to remove it from the unit.
- Detach the nylon band securing the tube unit and cord.
- Unfasten the feed nozzle set screw of the soldering Gun.
- Remove the tube unit.
- Unfasten the tip set screw, draw out the tip and nozzle from the guide pipe.
- Remove the torque regulating screw, then take away spring and solder dia. adjusting ring.
- Using the spring, spring tention plate and torque regulating screw, secure the suitable solder dia. adjusting ring. Refer to 5-6 for the fastening force of the torque adjusting screw.
- Insert the nozzle suitable to the solder dia. in the guide to fasten the tip.
- Using the feed nozzle set screw, secure the tube unit suitable to the solder dia.
- Using the nylon band, secure the tube unit and cord.
- Set the solder as per instruction 2 to 5 of 4.
REPLACEMENT OF NOZZLE
If the nozzle is damaged, replace in the following manner:
- Unfasten the tip set screw, and draw out the tip and then the nozzle from the guide pipe.
- Insert a new nozzle in the guide pipe and fasten the tip.
REPLACEMENT OF HEATING ELEMENT
If the heating element is broken, replace it as follows:
- Loosen the tip set screw and the heating element set screw, and draw out the tip and the heating element set screw.
- Place the housing in such a manner as to position the tip on the left side, remove the 4 set screws and raise the upper housing
- Remove the heating element connecting met, and pull out the heating element from the element enclosure.
- Assembling of the heating element should be in the reverse order to that mentioned above.
- After replacing the heating element, using a minus screw driver, turn the potentiometer through the hole (A) on the side of the solder bobbin holder, and control the temperature. In about five minutes after switching on the electric current with the heat control knob in its Dial 1 position, adjust the potentiometer to obtain a tip thermometer reading of 300°C (572F). Turning the heat control knob clockwise increase the temperature.

REPLACEMENT OF HEATING CORE
If the tip set screw fails to fasten the tip, replace the heating core in the
following manner :
- Unfasten the tip set screw, and draw out the tip.
- Remove the housing in the same manner as given in 2 of C)
- Remove the solder from the Grounding conductor to draw out the heating core from the heating element.
- Assembling of the heating core should be in the reverse order to that given above. (Align the boss of the housing with the hole of the heating core.
If the solder is jammed in the feed gear, remove the solder with a brush etc. Adjust the torque regulating screw with the torque screw driver as per the values of the following table. If the torque screw driver is unavailable, slowly fasten the throne regulating screw from its free condition, and tighten it to such an extent tha the solder is gripped by a radio spanner when coming out of the nozzle under normal feeding condition, then the feed can be stopped.
- The torque limiter of the feed unit may cause the feed gear to slip and stop feeding the solder.
- Start feeding again only when the solder grip is released.
- Excessive tightening will bend the solder between the feet gear and nozzle, if there is some trouble in the nozzle or tube.
- On the contrary, insufficient tightening will cause the torque limiter to be actuated, even under small discrepanies, and results in solder feed failures.
- When you adjust tention spring adjusting knob, please be careful not to be slipped tention gear.
