SVU CONTROL PANEL:
STEP 1: START
To start the unit, turn the key to on and the dash will light up. (Wait a
moment.)
PROPER USE
Get engine running and while at idle raise and position your unit where you
want it to be before you ramp up your RPMS.
STEP 2: MASTER POWER
When that is on, turn you master power on. That will turn your fuel pump on
and you’ll be ready to start.
STEP 3: TURN KEY
Turn the key all the way to the right to start.
STEP 4: SET POSITION
Rotate and tilt the fan head into position.
STEP 5: RAMP UP RPMS
Lighting should be above 1500 RPMs running the LED lights.
TIE-DOWN HOOK & TIE-DOWN STRAP:
Movement of SVU unit can be done with provided Bar, Hooks, and Straps. Refer to provided manual for proper procedure per application/
HYDRAULIC VALVES
The hydraulic valves, located under the engine have been preset. If the tilt speed needs adjustment, tighten the valves to move slower, or loosen the valves to move faster.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ACCESS
To access the hydraulic system, remove the lid to the hydraulic system cover
located under the fuel filter and priming button.
FUEL FILTER & PRIMER BUTTON
- URN ON MASTER POWER
- TURN KEY TO “ON” POSITION.
- PRESS THE PRIMER BUTTON. (COULD REQUIRE 20 OR MORE PRESSES)
PRIMING THE FUEL FILTER PUMP
When operating the SVU from a cold state, it is important to prime the fuel
pump. Priming the fuel pump is achieved by turning on the master power and
tuning the key to the “on” position. Then, press the Primer Button. The Primer
button might require 20 or more presses. There will be resistance when the
pump is primed and ready.
FUEL & EXHAUST
Use only Diesel gas to fill Fuel Tank.
Diesel Exhaust fluid should be used and filled in the D.E.F. fuel container on
the side of the unit.
BATTERIES
BATTERY COVER
Batteries are stored under the Battery Cover on the rear of the unit.

Refer to Cummins supplement for engine maintenance.
SVU UNIT:
After each use:
Clean and inspect unit after each use.
Keep debris clean from shroud and blade area.
**** Inspect covers and fasteners etc. for tightness on a regular basis.
WARNING
Never operate with any guards, covers or other components not properly in
place and in good condition.
