Product Usage Instructions

  1. Prepare Wick Placement: Place a wick on a wick sticker and secure it at the bottom centre of the candle jar.
  2. Melt Wax: Use a double-boiling method to melt the wax. Fill a pot with water and place a wax-melting pitcher inside. Heat the water until it boils and then simmer gently.
  3. Add Fragrance Oil: Once the wax is melted, pour fragrance oil into the pitcher and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour Wax: Carefully pour the scented wax into the candle jar up to the neck level.
  5. Center Wick: Place the wick through a laundry pin, bend it to the side, and secure it on top of the jar. Ensure the wick is centred.
  6. Cool and Cure: Let the candle cool and harden, then cut the wick to 1/4 height. Allow it to cure for 2 weeks before lighting.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I reuse the wax pitcher for food purposes?
A: No, reuse the wax pitcher only for candle-making to avoid contamination.

  • Q: How should I store my finished candles?
A: Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Candle Making Instructions

  • Place a wick on a wick sticker and secure the wick at the bottom centre of the candle jar, centring as best as you can.
  • Open only 2 wax clamshells and transfer the wax into the pouring pitcher. Fill a pot or saucepan with about an inch or two of water and place the wax-containing pitcher inside.
  • Let the water boil over low to medium heat. Once the water is boiling, lower the heat and bring the water in the pot or saucepan to a gentle simmer.
  • As the wax melts, open the remaining wax clamshells and carefully transfer the rest of the wax into the pitcher. Monitor the wax temperature with your thermometer.
  • As water evaporates, periodically add more water to keep the water level consistent. When the wax temperature reaches above 180F, transfer the pitcher onto a heat-resistant surface.
  • Pour the fragrance oil into the pitcher containing melted hot wax and stir for at least 2 minutes. When finished, pour the scented wax into the glass candle jar up to the neck level.
  • For centring the wick, place the wick through the middle hole of the laundry pin. As you rest the pin on top of the jar, bend the wick to the side and pinch to secure it.
  • Make sure the wick is centred. When the wax cools and hardens, cut the wick 1/4″ height. Place the cap and let it cure for 2 weeks before lighting the candle.

Warning Tips

  • Always wear heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts when touching the pitcher or jar containing hot wax and when working near-boiling water.
  • To protect your working station from wax, place a parchment paper or a silicon pad.
  • Have paper towels nearby. To remove any unwanted wax, use a paper towel + alcohol to wipe.
  • Do not boil the pitcher directly on a cooktop.
  • Always place the pitcher containing hot wax on top of an even, heat-resistant surface or trivets.
  • Do not reuse the wax pitcher or candle jar used for kitchen purposes or to contain food. Reuse them for wax only.
  • Try cooling the candle in a warmer temperature room. Avoid cooling it on cold surfaces like marble and granite.
  • For a smooth, flat top for your candle after it has cooled, repeat the above double-boiling process using the leftover scented wax inside the pitcher and top-coat the candle surface.
