Product Usage Instructions

Removal Instructions:

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Remove the trim panel surrounding the ignition lock by removing retaining screws or retainers.
  3. Remove the ignition lock trim bezel by gently prying it off with a plastic trim tool or equivalent.
  4. Remove the key illumination ring if equipped.
  5. Insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder and rotate to the ACC (accessory) position.
  6. Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, push in the retaining pin on the underside of the lock housing while pulling out the lock.
  7. Remove the lock cylinder from the steering column by pulling the cylinder outwards while keeping the pin pushed in.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Insert the key into the replacement ignition lock cylinder.
  2. Rotate the key to the ACC (accessory) position.
  3. Insert the ignition lock cylinder into the ignition lock cylinder case until the retaining pin engages in the hole.
  4. Remove the key from the ignition lock cylinder.
  5. Reinstall the key illumination ring and screw if equipped.
  6. Reinstall the lock trim bezel by gently snapping it back into place.
  7. Reinstall the lower dash trim panel under the steering column and tighten screws.
  8. Reconnect the battery.

Removal Instructions

  • STEP 1: Disconnect battery.
  • STEP 2: Remove the trim panel surrounding the ignition lock by removing retaining screws or retainers. NOTE: The trim panels vary among models. Use caution upon the removal process to prevent damage tothe  trim panel.
  • STEP 3: Remove the ignition lock trim bezel by gently prying it off with a plastic trim tool or equivalent.
  • STEP 4: Remove the ey illumination ring if equipped.
  • STEP 5: Insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder and rotate to the ACC (accessory) position.
  • STEP 6: Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, push in the retaining pin on the underside of the lock housing while pulling out the lock.
  • STEP 7: Remove the lock cylinder from the steering column by pulling the cylinder outwards while keeping the pin pushed in.
