iBoard IB-030C Stainless Steel Running Boards

    • 6-7 ft-lbs for 6mm
    • 16-18 ft-lbs for 8mm
    • 31-32 ft-lbs for 10mm
    • 56-58 ft-lbs for 12mm
    • 92-94 ft-lbs for 14mm

Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Install M10 Bolt Plate

  • Start installation from the driver-side front of the vehicle.
  • Insert (1) M10 Bolt Plate into the rectangular hole located in the side panel.
  • Thread (1) M10 Plastic Washer onto the bolt plate to hold it in place.

Step 2: Attach Driver Front Mounting Bracket (DFM)

  • Select the Driver Front Mounting Bracket (DFM). Attach it to the inserted M10 Bolt Plate with (1) M10X1.5 Nylon Lock Nut and (1) M10 Flat Washer.
  • Do not fully tighten the hardware at this time.

Step 3: Attach DFM to Pinch Weld

  • Attach the Driver Front Mounting Bracket (DFM) to the pinch weld with (2) M8x1.25-25mm Hex Bolts, (2) M8 x1.25 Nylon Lock Nuts, and (4) M8 Large Flat Washers.
  • Ensure the vertical mounting plate on the bracket is on the outer side of the pinch weld.

Step 4: Install Driver Rear Mounting Bracket (DRM)

  • Move to the driver-side rear of the vehicle and repeat steps 1-3 to install the Driver Rear Mounting Bracket (DRM).
  • Do not fully tighten the hardware at this time.

Step 5: Step Bar Installation

  • Once both driver-side mounting brackets are installed, proceed to the Step Bar installation. Select a slider and (2) M8X1.25-35mm Carriage Bolts.
  • Install the carriage bolts in the slider, then slide the slider with carriage bolts onto the Step Bar.
  • Repeat for the other slider and attach the Step Bar with sliders onto the installed brackets.

FAQ

  • Q: Do I need any special tools for installation?
  • A: No, all necessary hardware is included in Hardware Packages A and B for installation.
  • Q: Can these step bars be installed without drilling?
  • A: Yes, these step bars are designed for rocker panel mount without the need for drilling.

READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE START ING INSTALLATION. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM THE BOX AND VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. ASSISTANCE IS RECOMMENDED.

Installation Instructions

STEP 1

  • Start installation from the driver-side front of the vehicle. Insert (1) M10 Bolt Plate into the rectangular hole located in the side panel, (Fig 1). And thread (1) M10 Plastic Washer onto the bolt plate to hold the bolt plate in place, (Fig 1).

STEP 2

  • Select the Driver Front Mounting Bracket (DFM). Attach the Driver Front Mounting Bracket (DFM) to the inserted M10 Bolt Plate with (1) M10X1.5 Nylon Lock Nut and (1) M10 Flat Wash-er, (Figs 3 & 4). Do not fully tighten the hardware at this time.
  • NOTE:  The Driver Front Mounting Bracket is shorter than the Rear one, (Fig 2)

STEP 3

  • Attach the Driver Front Mounting Bracket (DFM) to pinch weld with (2) M8x1.25-25mm Hex Bolts, (2) M8 x1.25 Nylon Lock Nuts, and (4) M8 Large Flat Washers, (Figs 3 & 4). Do not fully tighten the hardware at this time.
  • Note: Make sure that the vertical mounting plate on the Bracket is on the outer side of the pinch weld.

STEP 4

  • Move to the driver-side rear of the vehicle. Repeat steps 1-3 to install the Driver Rear Mounting Bracket (DRM). Don’t fully tighten the hardware at this time.

STEP 5

Once all (2) Driver side mounting brackets are installed, then proceed to the Step Bar installation. (Figs 5 & 6)

  1. Select (1) Slider and (2) M8X1.25-35mm Carriage Bolts;
  2. Install (2) M8X1.25-35mm Carriage Bolts in (1) Slider.
  3. Slide the Slider (with carriage bolts) to the Step Bar.
  4. Repeat to install the other (1) slider to the step bar.
  5. Attach the Step Bar (with the Sliders) to the installed mounting brackets. Position the Sliders to the installed brackets. Secure the Step Bar to the installed Brackets by using (4) M8 Large Flat Washers (4) M8 Nylon Lock Nuts and (2) Slid-ers, (Fig 6). Do not fully tighten the hardware at this time.

Note: The Sliders are packed with the Step Bars.
Level and adjust the Step Bar and fully tighten all hardware.
Repeat Steps 1-5 for the other side Step Bar installation. The installation is completed!

Attention

  • Do periodic inspections of the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
  • In order to protect your bars/boards, please use mild soap/non-abrasive products for cleaning only.
