SAFETY
- This mirror should be installed by a qualified electrician.
- This fitting is only suitable for connection to a 220-240V earthed supply by current lEE wiring regulations and should be installed by local Building Regulations.
- This is for domestic, indoor use only.
- The fitting should be connected to a dedicated lighting circuit which must be protected by a 5-amp fuse (or a 6-amp miniature circuit breaker).
- The electrical connection must be at an adequate distance from the rear of the mirror to prevent the risk of shorting with the mirror’s casing.
- Before installing the fitting ensure that the mains supply is switched off and that the appropriate fuse is removed (or the appropriate circuit breaker is switched off) before commencing installation. Ensure that measures are taken to prevent the supply trom being inadvertently reconnected.
- If there is a “Minimum Distance” label, please do not allow flammable materials to rest within that distance from the unit.
- This product may contain delicate parts – be careful during handling and maintenance to avoid breakage.
- Ensure the cover for the shaver socket is closed when not in use to prevent moisture from entering it.
- Only connect items designed to be used with a shaver socket (Such as shavers or electric toothbrushes).
- The shaver socket is not earthed and provides 230V at a maximum current of 80mA.
- Do not connect devices that require a higher current, different voltage, or an earth connection.
- If any modification is made to the fitting will invalidate the warranty and may render the product unsafe.
- A detective appliance may cause electric shock. Never switch on a detective or damaged appliance. Disconnect the appliance from the mains before seeking assistance.
- This product is IP44 rated, and no part of the installation is allowed to be within bathroom Zones 0 or 1. Installation is permitted within Zone 2.
- This product must be earthed. Before commencing installation, ensure that there are no pipes or wires located behind the wall that may be damaged during drilling.
- Ensure that the hanging location has been decided upon and marked clearly to avoid unwanted damage to the wall due to incorrect positioning.
- Inspect the mirror to ensure there are no signs of damage before installation.
- Take care unpacking, do not use a sharp blade to open it as this may damage the mirror and void your warranty.
- Once installed a bead of silicon can be applied between the mirror and the wall across the top and sides of the unit.
- Never seal the bottom of the mirror to the wall, as this may allow water to accumulate behind the mirror.
BATHROOM ZONES
- Zone 0: The interior of the bathtub or shower basin.
- Zone 1: The area around the bathtub or shower basin up to a height of 2.25m above the floor.
- Zone 2: The area stretches to 0.6m outside the bath or shower and above the bath or shower if over 2.25m.
PARTS SUPPLIED
PLEASE NOTE: It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the fittings are suitable for the type of wall. Alternative fittings may be required (Not Supplied). If unsure professional advice should be sought.
TOOLS REQUIRED
HANGING THE MIRROR
The mirror comes with the option of hanging both in landscape or portrait orientation. At the back of the mirror, there are 4 key holes 2 on the vertical side and 2 on the horizontal side. To hang the mirror, you will need to drill two holes into the wall, ensuring that there are no wires or pipes behind the wall before commencing.
- Ensure that the power is disconnected at the circuit breaker and that there is no risk of reconnection during installation.
- Measure the distance between the two keyholes.
- Make a note of the distance and mark their position on the wall. Use a spirit level to ensure that the holes are level.
- Drill the 2 holes into the wall at the position marked using a suitable drill bit.
- Insert the wall plugs into the holes.
- Insert the screws into the wall plugs, ensuring their heads are protruding by approximately 3mm.
- Check to ensure the screws line up correctly and the mirror can be safely hung from them.
- The mirror should now be connected to a suitable fuse spur following current regulations and guidance. When connecting ensure that enough cable is left to allow the mirror to be safely removed.
- You will now be able to hang the mirror. Carefully lower the mirror onto the screws, ensuring that is secure and will not slide.
- Reconnect the powersupply.
OPERATION
- Press the button once to turn on the lights and to begin de-misting.
- Hold the button to change the colour temperature from 3000K (Warm White) to 6000K (Cool White).
- Press again to turn the lights and demister off.
BLUETOOTH PAIRING
- To pair your phone to the Bluetooth speaker system, press and hold the speaker symbol to start pairing.
- Access your phone’s Bluetooth connection option via your settings and a list of devices will be shown.
- Locate “Mirror-BT” and select it.
- Your phone will now be paired with the speakers.
- Press and hold the button to turn on/off, when the player is on.
- Press to pause the player and press again to play.
SHAVER SOCKET
- Your mirror comes with a shaver socket located on the side of the mirror.
- This socket is only designed for use with shavers and other low-voltage items designed to be powered by a shaver socket.
- Once the mirror is connected to the mains, the shaver socket should be ready to use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Never use products containing bleach or abrasive cleaners, as these will have a detrimental effect on the appearance and lifespan of the product.
- Use a clean microfiber cloth to clean the mirror.
