Product Usage Instructions

Installation

1. Choose a suitable location with ample sunlight for installation.

2. Mount the solar panel securely using the provided mounting hardware.

3. Connect the panel to your power system following the provided wiring diagram.

Maintenance

1. Regularly clean the solar panel surface with a soft cloth and mild detergent.

2. Inspect the panel for any damage or debris that may obstruct sunlight.

3. Check the connections for tightness and re-tighten if necessary.

Troubleshooting

If the solar panel is not generating power:

1. Ensure it is receiving adequate sunlight throughout the day.

2. Check the wiring connections for any loose or damaged wires.

Limited warranty on photovoltaic modules

1. Limited warranty on product and performance

Effective date: January 1, 2024.
Photovoltaic Modules. This limited warranty applies to Photovoltaic Modules from Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. (“Maxeon”) installed in the Czech Republic, when the model numbers sold after the efficiency date are listed in the warranty plate (“Photovoltaic Modules”). Photovoltaic modules do not include power electronics, external connectors, jumpers, microinverters or other external devices supplied or sold with photovoltaic modules.
The date guarantees origination. The date of the warranty is earlier than the following data: (i) the date of connection of the field and (ii) 6 months from the delivery of the photovoltaic modulesÿ. If the delivery date cannot be verified, it will be used instead of production date.
Product warranty. Company Maxeon warrants that under all circumstances, subject to the conditions specified in this limited warranty, the Photovoltaic Modules will be free of defects in material and workmanship that would have a significant effect on the functioning of the photovoltaic modules under normal conditions of use, installation , use and service during the warranty period. period of the product as stated in the warranty plate.

1 “Measured peak power” is the measurement of the peak power of the photovoltaic module in watts at standard test conditions (irradiance 1000 W/m2, AM1.5, 25C. SOMS current, LACCS FF and voltage from NREL calibration) as described in according to the IEC61215 standard, measured according to the IEC60904 standard and taking into account the 3% measurement tolerance. To ensure accurate measurement peak performance, the measurement speed must be at least 200 ms. Maxeon can provide upon request detailed testing procedure or list of recognized testing agencies.

2. Customer support, claims process and coverage

In the event of a claim covered by the limited warranty, please contact Maxeon immediately at customers@maxeon.com. Maxeon may request additional information to confirm the validity of the claim, including: relevant warranty registration information, detailed proof of purchase, delivery or installation, serial numbers and model numbers and evidence relating to the subject of the claim. All obligations of Maxeon based on of this Agreement are expressly conditioned upon the timely and complete provision of such additional information as is reasonably required to confirm the validity of the complaint. Claims subject to the exclusions set forth in Section 4, will be rejected. Returned Photovoltaic Modules will not be accepted unless given permission by Maxeon prior written permission.

In the case of a confirmed claim made during the applicable warranty period, the company Maxeon either Photovoltaic Modules covered by warranty will be repaired, replaced or refunded. In accordance with applicable legal regulations Maxeon has the exclusive right to decide on repair, replacement or return in case of any claim money. For repairs and exchanges, Maxeon will pay reasonable, customary return shipping costs warranty covered Photovoltaic Modules from the place where the Photovoltaic Modules covered by the warranty were, originally supplied by Maxeon, and when shipping repaired or replacement PV modules to of this place. Replacement Photovoltaic Modules can be refurbished or refurbished Photovoltaic Modules, shall be electrically and mechanically compatible with the warranted Photovoltaic Modules and shall have basically the same or higher rated power.

If the original purchase price cannot be documented, Maxeon will use the current market value instead of the original purchase price to determine the value of the claim.

3. General terms and conditions

a) All performance and rights under this limited warranty are expressly conditioned upon full payment (including full payment of any interest or late payment charges) due to Maxeon.
b) Maxeon shall have no obligations under this limited warranty, if any are outstanding fees or payments for Photovoltaic Modules that are the subject of a warranty claim.
c) All warranty claims based on this limited warranty must be made within the applicable warranty period.
Any warranty claim made outside the applicable warranty period, including a hidden defect claim, is void and will be rejected by Maxeon.
d) Product and performance warranty conditions for any repaired or replaced Photovoltaic Module do not exceedscope of the original warranty conditions.
e) If the Photovoltaic Modules are used on a mobile platform of any type, e.g. on a vehicle (except tracking devices), the warranty conditions for the product and performance are limited to a period of 12 years.
f) If the Photovoltaic Modules are used in a system with a power above 500 kW or on a ground application such as such as a tracking device or a carport, product and performance warranty terms are limited to for a period of 25 years, unless Maxeon provides written consent to the contrary and if Photovoltaic Modules are not digitally registered.
g) Photovoltaic Modules used with floating installation systems are completely excluded from this limited warranty, unless such application has been given prior written consent by Maxeon, subject to terms and conditions, which may be specified in such written consent.
h) In cases of replacement of the Photovoltaic Module, ownership is transferred to the replaced Photovoltaic Module Module for the company Maxeon.
i) All warranty claims must be made by or on behalf of the warranty holder. Maxeon can request documentation confirming the identity of the warranty holder, authorization of the claimant, and documents confirming the sale, delivery and original installation location of the Photovoltaic Modules. Maxeon may in case insufficient documentation will, in its sole, reasonable discretion, warrant the rejection of warranty claims.
j) This limited warranty is fully assignable by the warranty holder to a third party provided that: the warranty holder shall file within 90 days of the transfer a notice of assignment in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth on the page https://sunpower.maxeon.com/int/solar-panel- products/warranty; the notice shall contain a reasonable documentation proving this assignment and the subsequent warranty holder will complete the digital registration of the photovoltaics modules.

4. Exceptions

The Limited Warranty does not cover any of the following exclusions, including any defect, malfunction or loss of performance, which is wholly or partly caused by it. Maxeon in its sole, reasonable discretion
decide whether an exception applies to the claim.

a) Photovoltaic Modules subjected to: (i) misuse, abuse, neglect or accident; (ii) modification or improper installation (improper installation includes, but is not limited to, installation that does not comply with all instructions
to Maxeon for installation and operation and maintenance instructions of any type that may be at its discretion by Maxeon as amended and updated from time to time, and with all national and local laws, regulations, decrees and regulations); (iii) repair or modification performed by a person other than an authorized service technician Maxeon; (iv) conditions exceeding voltage, wind, snow load and any other operating conditions specifications; (v) power failure or power surge; (vi) indirect or direct damage by lightning, flood, by fire, hail or other acts of God; (vii) damage by persons, biological activity or by industrial chemicals or (viii) damage due to impact or other events beyond our control of Maxeon.

b) Cosmetic defects or consequences resulting from normal wear and tear of the materials of the Photovoltaic Modules a cosmetic deviations that do not cause the performance to drop below the guaranteed peak performance. Common wear and tear of the materials of the Photovoltaic Module includes in particular, but not exclusively, fading of the color of the frame, the effects of wind and rain on the glass layers and the discolored area around individual solar panels cells or any parts of the Photovoltaic Module or above them.
c) Photovoltaic Modules installed in locations that may be in Maxeon’s clear judgment exposed to direct contact with bodies of water containing salt water.
d) Photovoltaic Modules whose labels containing the product type or serial number have been altered, removed or rendered unreadable.
e) Photovoltaic Modules that have been moved from the original place of installation without express written consent of Maxeon.
f) Photovoltaic Modules marked MAX and -COM or -UPP in the product model number that have been installed on family houses or semi-detached houses, including, among other things, two-generation houses and town houses. For clarification: z apartment buildings and apartment complexes are not excluded from the limited warranty.

5. Limitation of Warranty Scope

SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN DOCUMENT EXPRESSLY SUPERSEDES AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES AND TERMS. EXCEPT AS STATED IN OR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ALL WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES AND

TERMS OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE PURPOSE, USE OR APPLICATION, COURSE OF TRADE OR COMMERCIAL USE AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES OF MAXEON EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED. REGARDLESS MAXEON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY STATEMENT TO THE CONTRARY

PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHER DAMAGE OR INJURY ARISING FROM ANY CAUSE RELATED TO PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES, INCLUDING MJ. ANY FAULTS OF THE PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULE OR ITS USE OR INSTALLATION. IN NO EVENT SHALL MAXEON BE LIABLE LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY WERE CAUSED. LOSS OF UTILITY, LOSS OF PROFIT, LOSS OF PRODUCTION AND LOSS OF REVENUE ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED WITHOUT LIMITATION. MAXEON’S TOTAL LIABILITY IF EXISTS, FOR DAMAGES OR OTHER DAMAGES, NOT TO EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER TO MAXEON FOR A UNIT OF PRODUCT OR SERVICE THAT HAS BEEN OR IS TO BE PROVIDED, AND WHICH MAY RESULT IN A WARRANTY CLAIM.

MAXEON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO THE CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY NON- PERFORMANCE OR DELAY IN FULFILLMENT OF ANY TERMS OF SALE, INCLUDING THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, IN AS A RESULT OF FORCE MAJEURE, WAR, UNREST, STRIKE, FIRE, FLOOD, EPIDEMIC OR PANDEMIC (INCLUDING COVID-19) OR ANY OTHER CAUSE OR CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH MAXEON CANNOT AFFECT.

TO THE EXTENT THAT YOU, THE CUSTOMER, HAVE PURCHASED OUR GOODS AS A CONSUMER UNDER APPLICABLE LEGAL REGULATIONS:

A) THE BENEFITS GIVEN TO YOU BY THE LIMITED WARRANTY ARE IN ADDITION TO THE CONSUMER WARRANTIES PROVIDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW AND OTHER RIGHTS AND REMEDIES UNDER LAW
RELATED PRODUCTS.

B) OUR GOODS MAY BE PROVIDED WITH WARRANTIES THAT UNDER APPLICABLE LAW  CANNOT BE LIMIT OR EXCLUDE. IN THE EVENT OF A SERIOUS DEFECT, YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A REPLACEMENT OR REFUND AND FOR ANY OTHER REASONABLY FORESEEABLE LOSS OR DAMAGE.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE A CLAIMS FOR THE REPAIR OR EXCHANGE OF THE GOODS IF THE GOODS DO NOT REACH ACCEPTABLE QUALITY AND NOT A SERIOUS DEFECT.

C) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED BELOW D) NOTHING CONTAINED IN THESE TERMS LIMITED WARRANTIES DO NOT EXCLUDE, LIMIT OR MODIFY ANY CONDITION, WARRANTY, WARRANTY OR OTHER OBLIGATION RELATING TO THE SUPPLY OF GOODS (“LEGAL OBLIGATIONS”), IF IT WAS ILLEGAL.

D) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOLE LIABILITY SHALL BE MAXEON AND ITS AFFILIATES FOR VIOLATIONS OF ANY SUCH LEGAL OBLIGATIONS (EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS DOCUMENT OTHERWISE) LIMITED TO: (I) REPLACEMENT OF GOODS, SUPPLY OF EQUIVALENT GOODS, OR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE COST OF EXCHANGE OF GOODS OR SUPPLY OF EQUIVALENT GOODS; OR (II) REPAIR OF THE GOODS OR REFUND COST OF REPAIR OF GOODS (IN EACH CASE AT COMPANY’S SOLE DISCRETION MAXEON).

THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY APPLICABLE LEGAL REGULATIONS. IF A COURT OR OTHER AUTHORITY OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION FOUND ANY PROVISION OF THESE LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS IS UNENFORCEABLE OR ILLEGAL, SUCH PROVISION WILL BE MODIFIED (OR, IF NECESSARY, EXCLUDED) AT MINIMUM TO THE EXTENT REQUIRED SO THAT THE REMAINDER OF THESE LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS REMAIN IN FULL VALID AND EFFECTIVE.

6. Governing Law

Applicable law. This limited warranty is governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with the law of the Czech Republic. Courts of the Czech Republic republics do not have exclusive local jurisdiction. The applicable law includes § 2165, paragraph 1 of the Civil Code.
