- Installation Process:
- Field Strip your Benelli M4 by removing various components such as the magazine cap, barrel, handguards, trigger assembly, bolt carrier group, etc.
- Use snap ring pliers to carefully remove the retaining ring from the front of the magazine tube.
- Remove the spring and follower from the magazine tube.
- Secure the magazine tube in a table vice with padded jaws or have someone hold it for you.
- Apply heat directly to the base of the magazine tube using a heat gun or torch to soften the thread locker. Avoid heating up the receiver.
- Once smoke starts coming out of the tube, indicating softening of the thread locker, twist and loosen the tube by hand in a counter-clockwise direction.
- Allow everything to cool down for 30-60 minutes before proceeding.
- Clean the receiver using a wire brush, apply a thread locker to the new tube, and reinsert it. Ensure to install the foregrip retaining plate first.
- Reassemble the follower, magazine spring, and retaining ring onto the magazine tube.
- Complete the reassembly of your Benelli M4 shotgun.

Benelli M4 Magazine Tube Installation Instructions:
- It is recommended that this part be installed by a qualified gunsmith. It can be a difficult part to install on your Benelli M4, but with the proper tools, techniques, and knowledge, it’s quite easy.
- We are not responsible for any damages that you cause to your shotgun or yourself.
- Please read through it one time before starting.
- Recommended tools: safety glasses, heat-resistant gloves, other necessary PPE, table vice with soft jaw pads/towel, heat gun and/or propane torch or similar torch, wire brush, internal snap ring pliers, and medium or high strength thread locker.
- Field Strip your Benelli M4. Remove the magazine cap, barrel, handguards, trigger assembly, bolt carrier group, false 2-round extension, etc.
- Use the snap ring pliers to remove the retaining ring from the front of the magazine tube. Don’t point it at your face because it’s under spring tension.
- Remove the spring and follower.
- Clamp down in a table vice with padded jaws lightly, or have someone hold it by the stock for you if you don’t have one.
- Get your heat gun or torch if your heat gun doesn’t get up to about 500°F. A torch is a lot quicker but it can damage the anodizing on the receiver if it gets too hot.
- Point heat directly at the base of the magazine tube, and heat up evenly. Don’t heat the receiver. Smoke should start coming out of either side of the tube when the thread locker starts to soften. This is a good indicator that the tube is ready to be loosened (counterclockwise).
- Loosen the tube by twisting by hand from the cold end. Wear heat-resistant gloves. Wait 30-60 min until everything has cooled down before moving on.
- Clean the receiver with a wire brush put a small amount of thread locker onto the new tube and reinsert (don’t forget to install the foregrip retaining plate first).
- Put back in the follower, magazine spring, and retaining ring.
- Reassemble the rest of your Benelli M4
