Charging Light

• Red Light: Battery is Charging
• Blue Light: Fully Charged

Working Indicator Light

• Solid on Red: Network error

Download the APP

• Download the “COOAU Com” APP ( Or Compatible APP: “Cloud Edge” APP) from the APP store or Google ploy.

Tips:

• When registering a new account, please select the country in which you are located.
• (Accounts registered in different countries cannot shore cameras.)

1.  **Optional:** If using an SD card for storage, please Insert the SD card (Not Included) correctly first.
2.  **Press and hold** the “Power” button for 5 until the working status light turns red.

• Wifi Connection Tips:
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi the camera is connected to is a 2.4GHz channel.
  • The camera cannot connect successfully if on a 5G network.
  • Make sure the password correction of the Wi-Fi. (Note: the password of the WiFi cannot include single quotes, underlines, spaces, and sloshes(/).
  • Check the number of devices your router has connected. In general, the router has connection limits. Once the devices that your router is connected to exceed the maximum limit, other devices cannot connect to the router.
  • Make sure the QR code on the phone screen is normal and the distance between the phone and the camera lens is 10-15cm during the scanning process until you hear the camera beep.

• Charge the Camera
  • It’s recommended to fully charge the battery before mounting the camera outdoors.

1. Charge the battery with a power adapter(Not included).
2. Charge the battery with the COOAU Solar Panel (Not included if you only purchase the camera).
   • For better weatherproof performance, please always cover the Type-C charging port with the rubber plug after charging the battery.

Installation Precautions

Find a Good Mounting Spot
To find a spot to mount your camera, you need to test wireless signal strength.

1. Using the COOAU Cam app, go to Camera Settings> Guide.
2. To test the wireless signal strength, take your camera and phone to the location where you want to mount the camera.
3. Move the camera as close to the Router (WiFi Extender Booster) as possible if the signal is poor.

Select Height and Location
To maximize the detection range of the motion sensor of the camera, you need to install it at the right height and adjust it at the right angle.

1. Hang the camera 7-10 ft (2-3 m) above the ground.
2. Adjust the camera viewing angle to about 30 from the vertical direction(30° – 45°).

Installation Tips:

• Please do not install it in places that can easily interfere with Wifi signal reception, such as places next to electrical appliances, glass products, metal products, etc.
• Please do not install the camera in a position that nears a heat source, such as an air conditioner outdoor unit and Kitchen smoke outlet.
• Try to avoid installing the product on the side of a lively road. Frequent pedestrians and vehicles will keep waking up the camera, resulting in frequent alarm messages and extremely fast power consumption.
• When installing the camera, it’s not suggested to make the PIR sensor vertically facing the moving object otherwise, it may not detect the motion events. It is suggested to make the angle between the PIR sensor and the detected object larger than 15°.
• For better night vision, please avoid installing it near a light source (road/infrared light) and maintain a certain height difference from the light source; the lens direction should not be facing a reflective source (such as a mirror/window), nor should it be facing a wall at a close distance or other blocking objects, affecting the night vision imaging effect.
