Focal presents K2 Power M: a line of already-legendary products
Focal – a world leader in French sound from the home to the car – is unveiling a new range of products for an “à la carte” in-car audio installation. The new K2 Power M line inherits the best features of the iconic K2 line born in 1986, which has continued to evolve over the years. The French brand has used its unique set of skills in acoustics to combine some of its best exclusive technologies and innovations, creating K2 Power M.
A UNIQUE SAVOIR-FAIRE BY FOCAL
Manufactured in France in Focal’s workshops (SaintÉtienne), the K2 Power M active products comprise a midrange (3 KM), a woofer (6.5 KM), a subwoofer (SUB 5 KM) and a brand-new tweeter (FRAK). These powerful, demonstrative products are also ultra compact for easy installation into all cabins. Engineers have combined the famous “M” profile with the iconic yellow K2 cone in aramid fibre, which has long offered power and dynamism. The “M” profile offers better frequency response and better sound dispersion, and also reduces speaker driver depth. Combined with the other innovations in the line – TMD® surround, progressive spider, etc. – the “M”-shaped K2 Power cone delivers a sensationally musical, pure High-Fidelity sound AN “À LA CARTE” AUDIO SYSTEM Focal is closely attuned to its customers’ needs, addressing all their audio system desires and needs and delivering high-end offers and services. For this reason, like the Utopia M – a line offering automotive excellence – the K2 Power M range offers an “à la carte” audio system. No off-the-shelf kits: installers are free to choose from the products on offer to create the system of their choice for a custom installation.
NEW: THE FRAK TWEETER
A veritable revolution in Car Audio, the K2 Power M features the appearance of a brand-new Focal tweeter. With its unique frequency handling and full-range capability, the FRAK tweeter features an “M”-profile Aluminium/Magnesium cone and various patented technologies that bring unprecedented dynamics to a Car Audio installation. It is a perfect pairing with the other products from the K2 Power M range, delivering a unique sonic experience from Focal.
