Note:

The camera only supports 2.4GHz WiFi. It does not support 5GHz WiFi. Before connecting this camera to the WiFi please ensure the Wi-Fi signal strength is to be over than 85%. If the camera is for owoy from the signal source, it won’t be connected successfully for the first time. If your router is connected with too many devices, the camera will fail to connect Wi-Fi because of the IP address conflict.
To safeguard your privacy, you would be better to use COOAU CAM opp. But for easier management with other cameras. you could also use the
‘CloudEdge’ APP to control this camera. It does not support PC Browser and other Software.
This wireless camera supports events record ing when Wi-Fi disconnected.

3. APP Installation and Account Registration

3.1 Download ‘COOAU CAM’ APP

Method 1: Download ‘COOAU CAM’ APP from APP Store (iOS) or Google Ploy(Android);
( It also compat ible with ‘ Cloud Edge’ APP , but there will be some differences as the opp is updated, so if you hove any questions with t he opp, please contact us.)
Method 2: Scan ‘COOAU CAM’ APP OR code to download it.

Tips:

Please grant the following 2 permissions while using t his APP for the first t ime.

  1. Allow ‘COOAU Com’ APP to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN or it will fail to odd IP camera.
  2. Allow ‘COOAU Com’ APP to receive pushed message or the phone will not receive alarm push when motion detection or audible alarm is triggered.

3.2 Register Account

New users need to register by email. The concrete steps ore as following:

  1. Click ‘Sign up·
  2. Fallow the steps to complete the registrat ion of the account
  3. Log in.

Note:

  • When registering a new account please choose the region which you ore actually in and correct country code. (Different registered regions can’t share the camera.)
  • Please choose to register by e-mail.

4. How to Add a Camera to APP

4.1 Install Micro SD card

Please insert Micro SD cord to record videos when motion detected and playback. (Micro SD card Is not included; the camera supports up to 128GB Micro SD cord).

Note: Please insert the Micro SD cord before power on, otherwise, the SD cord cannot be detected.

4.2 Power on Camera

Press and hold on the power button for 5s to turn on camera (If it can’t be powered on, please plug in DC 5V /2A power adapter to charge the camera for 15min fir

Cannot turn on my camera?

  • Charge the camera, and then try to turn on it.
  • Press and hold the power key until turning on the camera. (can try many t imes)

4.3 Connect the Camera

Note:

  • Put the camera and smart phone 1 to 3 feet (30 to 100cm) away from the l;lil router to set Wi-Fi.
  • The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It doesn’t support 5GHz WIFI.
4.4 Wi-Fi Connection Steps

A.Turn on the camera;
B.Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to reset or restore factory defaults until you hear the sound of “Boogu· (mean resetting successfully);
C.Run COOAU CAM App, click “+” at the top right and select “Battery Camera·.
According to the guide on APP, please ensure the camera was activated. (The
LED indicator light is turning red and flickering slowly);
D.Choose 2.4GHz Wi-Fi SSID and enter the password, and then click the “next step”;
E: Click the ‘OK’ to make sure the wifi information confirmed.
F: After entering the following operation interface, please click “Next” and you will see the “Scan QR Code” interface.
G: Put the QR code in front of the camera lens about 10-15cm. The device lens is aimed at the OR code on the phone screen with a d istance of 10-15cm. After the device recognizes the OR code, the comero will moke o sound
‘Boogu’. After heord it, pleose click ‘next’.
H. Then, the comero will stort connecting to Wi-Fi. After the connection hos
f inished, it will skip to ‘Device Found’ page, you can edit the camera name ond click ‘Done’, and then go to your device list ond stort viewing videos.

My camera fails to connect Wi-Fi?

  1. Make sure the connection Wi-Fi of the camera is 2.4GHz. In our experience, the network connection is failed in most coses due to t he user connected to SGHzWiFi.
  2. Make sure the password correct ion of the Wi-Fi. (Not e: the password of the WiFi cannot include single quote, underline, space and virgule(/).
  3. Check the number of the devices your router connected. In general, the router hos a connection limits. Once the devices that your router connected excess the its max limit numbers, other devices will cannot connect the router.
  4. Make sure the OR code on the phone screen is normal and the d istance between the phone and the camera lens is 10-lScm (3.9-5.9inch) during the scanning process.
  5. After checking the above informat ion. if the camera cannot connect the Wi-Fi, please try to re-download the APP. reset the camera and restart the rout er, and then odd the camera again.
  6. If you t ried all steps, but still no luck, please message your order and problem to [email protected] or [email protected].

5. Camera Installation

How to instoll it :
A. Select the installation location: (You con install it on any f lat surface: such as Table, Woll, floor, ect.)
B. Take t he camera and your phone to the installation location;
C. Use the Installation Guide in the App to d iagnose the signal strength of your Wi-Fi network. (It is suggested that you install the camera in a place that hos a strong Wi-Fi signal so t hat this camera will work well for you.)
D. Use a power drill and screws to fix the bracket on the wall. It is suggested you install the camera at 2.4 -3m from the ground.
E. Rotate the camera to the bracket, during t his period, you can adjust the angle of the camera t hrough the t ightness of the rotation to get a better monitoring view.

Tips:

  • Please make sure the wall or surface where you wont to install the camera is flat. For easier instollotion, it is suggested to use drill. Concrete wall may not suitable for the installation.
  • Please do not install the camera at o posit ion that nears heat source, such as Air conditioner outdoor unit and Kitchen smoke outlet.
  • Try to avoid installing the product on the side of a lively road. Frequent pedestrians and vehicles will keep waking up the camera, resulting in frequent alarm messages and extremely fast power consumption.
  • Please do not install the camera at o posit ion owoy the router. The product needs o good Wi-Fi signal to works well.
  • When installing the camera, it’s not suggested to make the PIR sensor vertically face the moving object otherwise, it moy not detect the motion events. It is suggested to make the angle between PIR sensor and detected object larger than 15 degree.

6.2 Device share

The steps of shoring your cameras to other users:

  1. Invite your friends to download and install the “COOAU CAM” APP and log in.
  2. Click on the “Device Shore” to watch the operation video and follow the steps to complete device shor ing.
    Tip: When shoring, please ensure that your APP account is registered in the some region. Ot herwise, you will not be able to shore successfully.

7. SD Card Record

The product doesn’t include SD cord. If you need a SD cord to store flies, please buy it by yourself. SD cord requirements:

  1. It is recommended to use Son Disk, Samsung and other brand cords;
  2. Support 8-128GB capacity;
  3. It is recommended to use o standard Closs10 SD cord;
  4. Only FAT32 format is supported.

Note: Insert the memory cord into the SD cord slot of the device, and the device will automatically start saving videos.
How to watch the videos in SD cord?
Met hod 1: Click the “History” or “Video Ploy” button of the alarm information icon in the APR to enter the video playback interface. Drag the timeline or select the alarm point to find the corresponding t ime period record.
Method 2: Insert the SD card into the computer and convert the video format to MP4 via 3rd-party. When the video is MP4 format, you con directly watch it on the computer.

8. Battery Management

Enter the application-“Parameter Setting”-“Motlon Detection’ interface.

Warm Tip:

When you encounter the following problems in using this camera, you can adjust the motion detection sensitivity to solve them.

Note:

  1. It is recommended that the alarm sensit ivity be set to level 8-10 if missed or delayed alarms occur frequently,.

  2. It is recommended that t he alarm sensit ivity be set to level 1-3 if false alarms occur frequent ly.

  3. It is recommended that you adjust the sensit ivity to lower level. Alarm sensitivity and detect ing distance from high level ore too for to easier false triggering. In wint er, it easily caused false alarms because of bigger temperature range. Also, PIR alarm will be interference from weather and temperature.

  4. It is recommended that you adjust t he sensit ivity to higher level. In summer, it caused missed or delayed alarms because of smaller temperature range.

  5. If you not ice the poor performance of motion detection in the night environment t ry to turn off ‘N ight Detect ion’.

  6. Alarm Interval Set the alarm int erval here if you need.

  7.  Human Detection You con choose to turn t his on to only detect humans, f ilter other motion detect ions, and you con also choose the t ime period for detection.

  8. Alarm Plan You con select the alarm t ime here to ovoid excessive interruptions.

  9. Alarm Area You con set the alarm zones to be monitored.

  10. Audible warnings and white light warning.
    Audible warning: If mot ion or a humanoid object is detected, the camera will sound on audible alarm.( You could adjust t he volume)
    -.White light warning: l;llllf motion or a humanoid object is detected, t he camera will sound a light warning.
    18 Audio warning and white light warning:
    If motion or a humanoid is detected, the camera will sound an audio alarm with a light.

Important Notice:

  1. Only in the White Light Mode’ or the ‘Audio warning and white light warning’ mode, and when the camera detects mot ion, you con get the color night view.
  2. The alarm t ime of this three modes of audio and light alarm is 30s. If you turn off this function, the sound and light will not be issued. You can choose any alarm mode according to the actual use situat ion;

9. Battery Management

9.1 Charging the camera

It is recommended to use o 5V /2A power adopter for charging. Please use the usb coble in the package to charge this camera.
Note: If o 5 V/2 A power adopter is not available, other sizes of 5V power heads con also be charged.
How to judge whether the charging is successful?
The device’s charging indicator light is red, which means it is charging. A blue light means that charging is complet e. It will toke approximately 10 hours or more to fully charge.
What should I do if the charge foils?

  1. Determine whether the power adopter is good, try another one.
  2. Determine whether the USB charging coble is good, try another one.
  3. The charging indicator may be defect ive, please check the charging condition in the phone APP.
  4. Determine whether the charging port of the device is not in good contact with t he USB charging coble.
  5. The device hos o low temperature charging protect ion module, please don’t Ill charge the device at low temperatures.

9.2 Battery life

If the device does not detect o moving object the device will enter sleep mode, reducing the power consumption of the device.
If the device detects a moving object it quickly wakes up and starts within 1 second and tokes screenshot with recorded video.
Worm t ip: When the temperature is below -20°C, the battery may enter selfprotection mode, which caused the camera automatically be shut down. But if the temperature r ises, the battery will automatically return to normal state.
At the low temperatures. if you need to charge this camera, please place it on home several hours f ir st. In room temperature, t he self -protection mode of the battery will automatically be shut off to charge this camera safely.
Why the battery life of my device is poor?
A.Please check whether the number of alarms is too frequent. Because the working time of the device determines the batt ery life. The more frequent PIR

The device prompts offline?

  1. Check whether the equipment is in the power-on stote, and observe whether the working light of the equipment is on normally.
  2. Check whether the Wi-Fi network is in good condition and restart the router.
  3. If the device is located for away from the router, which results in the inability Ill to obtain a good Wi-Fi signal, it is recommended to move the router to a closer place or odd a Wi-Fi amplifier to improve the Wi-Fi performance of the home. 20
  4.  Delete the camera from your COOAU CAM account and odd it again ofter resetting the device. Check whether the device firmware and application program are t he latest version.
    Update router or VW-R password?
    Delete the camera from your COOAU CAM account. After resetting the device, use the new Wi-Fi and password to add it again.

Can’t play historical video?

  1. Check the status of the SD cord in “Settings” to ensure that the SD card has been successfully recognized.
  2. Reinsert the SD cord.
  3. In the application, format the SD card.
  4. Try another new SD card. Alarm push frequently? l.ln the opp, lower the sensitivity of the mot ion detection alarm.
  5. Check whether there ore objects t hat interfere with and trigger the PIR sensor in the f ield of view of the device, such as the outdoor unit of the air condit ioner, driving cars, passing pedestrians, etc. The angle of the device con be adjusted appropriately to ovoid these easily disturbing objects.
  6. Turn on “human motion detection” and use humanoid algor ithm to filter useless alarms.

The phone cannot receive the alarm push?

  1. Turn on all t he push permissions of the “COOAU CAM” application in the system settings of your mobile phone.
  2. Make sure that the device’s motion detection function is successfully turned on.
  3. Restart the phone, and clear the cache on Android phones.
  4. Check whether the network is good.
