Conventions used in this manual
WARNING: If you are younger than 18, do not use this.
You should go to a doctor, preferably an ear-nose-throat doctor (an ENT),
because your condition needs specialized care. Over-the-counter hearing aids
are only for users who are age 18 or older.
This OTC hearing aid is for users who are 18 and older, People who are younger
than 18 with hearing loss should see a doctor, preferably an ENT, because they
may need medical testing and management. Hearing loss can affect speech and
learning, so professional fitting and continuing care are also important.
Warning: when to see a doctor
If you have any of the problems listed below, please see a doctor, preferably
an ear-nose-throat doctor (an ENT).
Your ear has a birth defect or an unusual shape Your ear was injured or
deformed in an accident.
You saw blood pus or fluid coming out of your ear in the past 6 months.
Your ear feels painful or uncomfortable.
You have a lot of ear wax, or you think something could be in your ear.
You get really dizzy or have a feeling of spinning or swaying (called vertigo)
Your hearing changed suddenly in the past 6 months.
Your hearing changes: it gets worse then gets better again.
You have worse hearing in one ear.
You hear ringing or buzzing in only one ear.
Warning: this hearing aid should not cause pain when inserting it.
Remove this device from your ear if it causes pain or discomfort when you
insert or place it.
To try again, make sure to follow the instructions. If you feel pain or
discomfort again, contact the manufacturer If your pain or discomfort doesn’t
go away, contact your hearing healthcare professional. You can also report
this to FDA as an adverse event according to the instructions that appear
later.
Caution: this is not hearing protection.
You should remove this device if you experience overly loud sounds, whether
short or long-lasting. If you’re in a loud place, you should use the right

part farther into your ear, injuring your eardrum or ear canal, possibly
seriously.
Note: if you remain concerned, consult a professional
If you try this device and continue to struggle with or remain concerned about
your hearing, you should consult with a hearing healthcare professional.
Note: what you might expect when you start using a hearing aid
A hearing aid can benefit many people with hearing loss. However, you should
know it will not restore normal hearing, and you may still have some
difficulty hearing over noise. Further, a hearing aid will not prevent or
improve a medical condition that causes hearing loss.
People who start using hearing aids sometimes need a few weeks to get used to
them. Similarly, many people find that training or counseling can help them
get more out of their devices.
If you have hearing loss in both ears, you might get more out of using hearing
aids in both, especially in situations that make you tired from listening-for
example,noisy environments.
Note: tell FDA about injuries, malfunctions, or other adverse events.
To report a problem involving your hearing aid, you should submit information
to FDA as soon as possible after the problem, FDA calls them “adverse events,”
and they might include: skin irritation in your ear, injury from the device
(like cuts or scratches, or burns from an overheated battery), pieces of the
device getting stuck in your ear, suddenly worsening hearing loss from using
the device, etc. Instructions for reporting are available at
https://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch , or call1-800FDA-1088. You can also
download a form to mail to FDA.

(insuppurative infection stage), or acute suppurative otitis media.
Are allergic to the materials of the hearing aids.
Precautions
- Do not place the hearing aids in the humid and high temperature environments.and avoid shock, light, and collision.
- Do not place the hearing aids near objects with strong magnetism, otherwise it will affect the sensitivity of the hearing aids.
- Do not immerse the hearing aids in any liquid. Remove the hearing aids before swimming and showering and wear them after your auditory meatus is dry.
- Regularly clean the ear wax in the ear tips to keep the hearing aids surface clean and dry.
- Properly use the function and gain control switches Turn on/off them gently to avoid excessive force.
- If you feel uncomfortable during use, please choose larger double-layer ear tips while ensuring comfort, or contact customer service (customer service email: service@jiuyee.com )

- Swallowing the hearing aids and their components can cause injury. Keep the hearing aids and their components out of reach of children or others who may be injured.
Patients with active implants should be aware of the following conditions:
-
The hearing aids have been fully tested and characterized for ensuring human health pursuant to international standards for human exposure (Specific Absorption Rate, SAR), induced electromagnetic power, and safe voltage level for human body.
-
Exposure values detected on the hearing aids are well below the internationally recognized SAR.
The induced electromagnetic power and voltage of human body are in line with relevant human health standards and within the safety limits specified in standards for ensuring coexistence with active medical implants such as pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators. -
If you have an active brain implant, consult the manufacturer of your implant device for specific interference risks.
-
Patients with cochlear implants should be aware of the following conditions:If you use a cochlear implant (Cl) in one ear and a hearing aid in the other, be sure to always keep the Cl at least 1 cm away from the hearing aid. The magnetic fields formed by the Cl sound processor, coils, and magnets may permanently damage the speaker in the hearing aid. Therefore, do not place the two devices too close to each other when removing them (e.g. for cleaning). Do not put them in the same package.
-
Remove the hearing aids before X-ray, CT, MR, and PET scans, electrotherapy or surgery, as they may be damaged when exposed to strong electromagnetic fields.
-
Do not expose the hearing aids to extreme heat, such as in a hot vehicle exposed to the sun.
-
Do not dry the hearing aids in a microwave or other ovens.
-
Chemicals in cosmetics, hairspray, perfume, suntan lotion, and insect repellents will cause damage to the hearing aids. Before you use them, be sure to remove the hearing aids and dry the hearing aids before the next use.
-
Special care should be exercised in selecting, installing, and using hearing aids with a maximum sound pressure level that exceeds 132 dB SPL (2 cc coupler), as these hearing aids may impair your remaining auditory sense.
-
The hearing aids and ear tips may accelerate accumulation of ear wax.In rare cases, other nonallergic substances used in the hearing aids may cause skin irritation or other side effects.
-
If the aforementioned conditions occur, consult the physician.
-
We have performed a thorough interference test on the hearing aids in compliance with the most stringent international standards. However, the hearing aids may still be subject to interference from other devices such as mobile phones CB series and store alarm systems, and other devices. In such cases, keep the hearing aids further away from the interfering device.
Principles
The input transducer converts the input acoustic energy into electrical energy
and transmits it to the signal processing unit. Then, the signal processing
unit performs A/D conversion to the input signal.
The digital signal processor processes and amplifies the signal, and then the
signal is transmitted to the output transducer after D/A conversion. Finally,
the output transducer transmits the sound into the auditory meatus through air
conduction.
Structure and composition
The product consists of a main device and accessories. The device is constituted by parts such as microphone, signal processor, battery, outer shell and voice receiver. Accessories include ear tips, charging case and charging cable.
