RAVE 2022 Plus Tundra Tailgate Vinyl Letter Inserts
INSTRUCTION FOR USE

Park in the shade and let the tailgate cool down.

Prepare the surface.
Clean the tailgate surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Ensure there’s no dirt, dust, or grease on the surface, as this can affect adhesion. -
Apply the vinyl letters.
Peel off the backing paper from one corner of the vinyl letters, exposing the adhesive side. Carefully align the letters with the desired position on the tailgate. Slowly press down the vinyl letters onto the tailgate in a single direction, from one side to the other, smoothing out any air bubbles as you go. -
Optional Wet Apply Method.
Instead of applying the vinyl letters directly to the dry surface, you can use a wet application method. Spray a mixture of water and a small amount of dish soap onto the cleaned surface, and on the back of the vinyl before applying the vinyl. This allows you to reposition the vinyl more easily and reduces the risk of air bubbles. Once the vinyl is in position, use a vinyl application squeegee or credit card to squeegee out all the soapy water. -
Optional Heat Gun.
If the vinyl letters are not adhering properly or if there are any stubborn air bubbles, you can use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to gently warm the vinyl. This helps activate the adhesive and allows you to smooth out any imperfections.
