Replacing the batteries

If the cylinder release is delayed by approx. 3 – 7 seconds when using the sE- Key 7713 active transponders and the red LED on the transponder is flashing, this indicates that the batteries in the transponder are weak and should be replaced as soon as possible. For this purpose, proceed as follows:

  1. Loosen the screw on the bottom of the transponder (Fig. 1) and remove the cover (Fig. 2).
  2. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them appropriately.
    • Tip: Instructions for proper disposal can be found on page 8 of these instructions. Insert a new CR 2430 button cell battery.
  3. Ensure that the smooth side (+) faces outwards (Fig. 3). This correct position is also marked in the housing.
  4. Close the cover and screw it back on tightly (Fig. 4).

Tip: If the release of the cylinder is delayed by 3 – 7 seconds, but the red LED on the transponder is not flashing, this may be an indication that the batteries in the cylinder are running low. Check in the BURGsmart app whether they need to be replaced.
