  • The ready to open icon lights up when a valid code has been entered.

  • D. Temporarily blocked

  • When a wrong opening code is entered three times in a row, the lock blocks the operation for 5 minutes. Then for 20 minutes after any additional wrong entry.

  • During this time, the red blocking time icon is flashing and the lock cannot be opened even with a valid opening code.

  • E. Programming status

  • When the programming mode is entered, the programming mode lights up. It expires if the programming mode is exited.

  • F.  Denied entry
    When an invalid opening code is entered, the red denied entry icon lights up.

  • G. Battery replacement symbol
    When the battery replacement symbol lights up, the batteries shall be replaced.

  • H.  Service call
    Maintenance is required. Please notify your specialised dealer.

  • I.  Key confirmation

Any successful key action is confirmed with a brief flashing of the key confirmation icon.

You have thus acquired a product meeting extremely high security requirements and developed and manufactured using the latest technical potential.Important: Please read the entire Instruction Manual before programming and store it at a safe place for future reference at any time you may need it.

Important remarks

Please take care that the codes do not fall into the wrong hands. Therefore, store the codes at a safe location so that these can only be accessed by authorised persons. In case you loose a code, the lock must be converted to a new code, or replaced.

  •  The factory code must be changed as soon as the lock is commissioned.
  • Simple codes that are easy to guess (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) must not be used.
  • Personal data (e.g. birthday) or other data that may be concluded with knowledge of the code owner must not be used as code.
  •  After changing the code, the lock must be checked several times with the  safety door opened.

  • Number of opening codes
    1 (always 6 digits)

  • Blocking times A +B
    (Blocking times with 3x incorrect code entry): 5 min, then every 20 minutes

  • Power supply
    A: 3 x MICRO, LR03, AAA, ALKALINE
    B: 3 x 1,5V Mignon (LR6) AA, ALKALINE

  • Permissible ambient conditions
    -15 ° C / + 40 ° C / to 95% rel. humidity (not condensing)
    Permissible temperature range: -20 ° C / + 50 ° C

Commissioning

  • First, carefully remove the battery disconnect strip.
  • Press “On”.
  • Enter the factory-programmed opening code 1-2-3-4-5-6.
  • The green ready-to-open icon lights up.
  • The lock can be opened by turning the knob.

Programming your individual user code/ Changing the code

  • Press “On”.

  • Enter the valid 6 digit opening code.
    The green key confirmation lights up briefly.

  •  Hold “Enter” for 5 seconds until the “Prog” icon lights up.

  • Enter your new 6 digit opening code and press “Enter”.

  • Reenter your new 6 digit opening code and press “Enter”. If the green ready to open icon lights up, your code change has been made successfully. If the red icon representing denied entry lights up, your code change was unsuccessful and it has to be repeated. After an unsuccessful code entry, the existing code remains valid.

Open/close with your individual code

  • Press “On”.
  •  Enter your individual code.
  •  The green ready to open icon lights up.
  • Turn the knob half a turn and open the door.
  • Lock the safe by closing the door and turning the knob.

Battery replacement

  1. Carefully remove the cover of the battery compartment.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3.  Insert the new batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity.
  4.  Put the battery compartment cover back in position.
    Note: All stored data is retained after a power failure or power interruption.

Guarantee

BURG-WÄCHTER products comply with the technical standards in force at the time of production and adhere to our own quality standards.
The guarantee only covers defects which can be proved to have resulted from production or material defects at the time of purchase. The guarantee expires after two years; further claims are excluded.

A short description of any defects identified must be made in writing and the device returned to the place it was bought, together with the original packaging. After the device has been tested, and within an appropriate period of time, the guarantor will decide whether or not to repair or exchange the item.
Any defects or damage which may have resulted from transport, inappropriate or improper use, wear and tear etc. are not included in the guarantee.
The battery is not included in the guarantee.
