Assembly Instructions
- Step 1 Slide the umbrella stem into the plastic umbrella base and fix it using the provided hardware. Fill the base with sand and/or water as instructed, ensuring it is tightly secured.
- Step 2 Check the diameter of your umbrella pole and adjust the spacers accordingly to ensure a snug fit. Follow the guidelines for using sand and water combinations.
- Step 3 Place the umbrella pole into the umbrella base stem and hand tighten the tension screw. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the pole.
- Step 4 Securely fasten the umbrella pole and ensure it is stable before using the umbrella.

- This umbrella base is designed to secure your patio umbrella in calm conditions only, where there is no breeze or wind.
- NEVER open or operate a patio umbrella in wind conditions greater than 5mph (8kph).
- NEVER use the umbrella tilt function in any wind (even a light breeze).
- ALWAYS close the umbrella when unattended or not in use. If you are not sitting under it, the umbrella should be closed and secured.
- ALWAYS use storage straps to properly secure the canopy to the frame when the umbrella is closed.
- ALWAYS use a correctly weighted base for the size of the umbrella being used; more weight is always better than less weight, especially if you intend to use the umbrella in a freestanding situation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If the umbrella is showing ANY signs of stress, or IF the umbrella begins to move around excessively even when properly weighted it indicates the wind is too strong and the umbrella must be closed and secured immediately.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
- Regular application of water displacing and penetrating oil to the metal parts of the umbrella base will help to protect them against surface corrosion (remember to treat the bolt and washers on the underside of the base).
- Regular application of a plastic protectant to the base will help to protect it against damage from the harsh outdoor elements.
- During any extended periods of non-use, especially through the winter months your umbrella and the umbrella base should be stored inside in a dry place

WHAT’S IN THE BOX
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1
Slide the umbrella stem into the plastic umbrella base and fix it from the underside of the base using the countersunk lower fixing plate and M10*20mm countersunk hex screw. Tighten firmly using the hex wrench. -
Step 2
Check the outside diameter of your umbrella pole, if it is 38mm, then leave both the 38mm and 48mm spacers in place inside the stem, if the pole diameter is 48mm remove the 38mm plastic spacer leaving the 48mm spacer in place, so that the umbrella pole fits snugly into the umbrella stem. -
Step 3
Remove the cap in the top of the plastic umbrella base and fill it with sand and/or water, a small plastic funnel (not supplied) will make this job easier. Once filled, replace the cap.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Temperatures below freezing may cause water to expand and crack the plastic base.
It is VERY IMPORTANT to add an anti-freeze mixture (follow the manufacturer’s ratios) to the water inside the base (even if you use sand and water) if you choose to keep your base outdoors when temperatures are likely to fall below freezing. Failure to follow this step will damage the base if the water inside freezes and expands.
IMPORTANT: If the base is filled with sand and water it will be almost impossible to empty again. -
Step 4
Place the umbrella pole into the umbrella base stem and hand-tighten the umbrella pole tension screw.
CAUTION : Take care not to over-tighten as this may damage the umbrella pole.
