4. PRINCIPLES OF SAFE WORK
Never use the appliance if the power cord is damaged or visibly worn out.
In the event that you connect the mower to the voltage source with a damaged
cable and then touch it where the insulation is damaged, you expose yourself
to the risk of electric shock.
Never touch the knives until the device is unplugged from the mains and the
knives do not stop rotating.
Ensure that extension cords never come into contact with knives. Knives can
damage the insulation of the cable, putting you at risk of electric shock if
any part of your body comes into contact with the exposed wire while it is
energized.
Disconnect the machine from the power source (i.e. unplug the power cord from
the AC outlet):
- If you need to leave the device unattended
- If you’re trying to troubleshoot an error
- Before every inspection, every cleaning and repair
- If you collide with a foreign object while working
- If the device shakes excessively.
Carefully study the safety rules and user manual.
Recommendation: Connect the appliance only to a voltage source equipped with a
current protector (RCD) with a maximum leakage value of 30 mH.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
customer service.
This device should not be handled by persons with limited physical or mental
abilities (including children). Also, it should not be used by inexperienced
persons, as well as by those who clearly do not have the technical knowledge
necessary for treatment. Such persons may operate the device only under the
supervision of an experienced person or after basic occupational safety
training.
If there are children near the device, care must be taken not to play with the
device. A tingling sensation in the hands or even their numbness indicates too
much shaking.
In such a case, shorten the work, interrupt it with sufficiently long breaks,
distribute it among several people or, if you use the lawn mower for a long
time, use special anti-vibration gloves while working.
An inseparable accompaniment to working with a lawn mower is that it is noisy
on the go. Therefore, noisy work should only be done during the hours reserved
for this purpose or when it is customary. Be mindful of downtime periods and
limit work to what is strictly necessary.
We also recommend that you, and everyone in close proximity to the cultivator,
wear earmuffs.
OTHER RISKS
Although our products are manufactured to comply with applicable technical norms and safety regulations, there are still certain risks associated with handling them:
- Stones or debris may fly out of the knife compartment.
- If the operator does not use earmuffs while working, he or she may be at risk of becoming deaf.
- Finger injury during maintenance of knives
- Inhalation of particles of cut grasses
-
- Risk of electric shock when touching uninsulated parts.
This device should not be used by persons with reduced physical, mental or
mental abilities (including
children), inexperienced persons and those who clearly lack the technical
knowledge required for the task at hand; they are only supervised by a
suitable person or if they have been thoroughly informed by such a person
about the principles of safe work.
If there are children near the device, care must be taken not to play with the
device.
ATTENTION! Before using the mower, carefully read the instructions for use.
Get to know all the controls of the device thoroughly. By observing the rules
of safe work with the device, you can minimize the risk of fire, electric
shock or mechanical damage.
Keep the user manual in case necessary.
Improper use of the device is dangerous for accidents. The mower can cause
serious injury to its user or other people nearby, so it is necessary to
constantly follow the rules of safe use to minimize this risk.
In this respect, the user is responsible for safety during use of the device.
Never use the appliance even if any of the security features are missing or
not working properly.
BEFORE YOU START USING THE MOWER
Please read the instructions in this guide carefully. Thoroughly familiarize
yourself with the control elements of the device and the principles of correct
use.
Never allow children or strangers you do not know for sure to have
familiarized themselves with the control units of the device and its labor
safety regulations to work independently with the lawn mower.
National legislation may lay down a minimum age above which independent use of
this type of device is permitted. You should familiarise yourself with the
relevant laws that govern this topic in your country.
Never use the mower when there are free-moving people, especially children or
animals, nearby.
Be aware at all times that the user of the device is fully responsible for all
injuries and damages related to the operation of the device.
PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
For work it is necessary to wear suitable shoes and long trousers. Never work
with the lawn mower if you are barefoot or in sandals.
Before starting work, inspect the terrain and remove any objects that may be
cut out of the device.
ATTENTION! Before each use of the device, make sure that the cutting knife,
the pin that secures it, or the entire mower structure are not damaged or worn
out. If you want to replace a damaged or worn-out part that you have more than
one on your device, always replace them all at once to avoid causing an
imbalance in the intervention.
HANDLING
If possible, do not mow wet grass.
Make sure you have firm support and a steady stand while working. Do not run
with the mower, but walk at a normal pace.
The following general rules apply to working with a lawn mower: When mowing
vegetation or a slope, go not up and down, but along the contour lines, that
is, horizontally, perpendicular to the slope.
Be especially careful when changing direction on the slope. Never use the
mower on too steep a slope.
If you need to pull the mower towards you while driving or if you have to
drive it backwards, be especially careful.
In case you take the device elsewhere or drive it through a grass-free area,
always turn off the knife drive.
Never use your device if you notice damaged covers or missing a safety unit,
such as a grass ejector or grass trap.
start the engine only as described in the owner’s manual; Make sure your feet
don’t come close to the knives during this operation.
When starting the engine, never tilt the device, if this is not specifically
inevitable for starting.
In this case, turn the mower upwards with the side that is farther away from
you.
Never stick your hands or feet under the mower, especially near moving parts.
Never cover the ejector hole where grass clippings escape.
Never take the appliance while the engine is running.
Always stop the motor first and disconnect the cord from the outlet; Only then
can the collection basket be corrected or emptied.
- Do the same before each inspection, cleaning and repair of the device.
- If you encounter any foreign objects while mowing the lawn, check that the mower is not damaged; If so, the damage must be repaired before starting the engine again.
- Or if the device starts shaking unusually fast (you need to check the device immediately!) Turn off the engine each time you move away from the device.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Ensure that all nuts, pins and bolts are tightened thoroughly to ensure safe
operation of the device.
Check regularly if the collection basket is damaged or too worn out.
Replace worn or damaged parts with new ones immediately to help keep your
device running safely.
When adjusting adjustable parts, be careful not to stick your hand between
moving knives and the solid part of the device. If you want to put the mower
in an enclosed space, first let the engine cool down.
