DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATION
The External Memory Keypad consists of a control keypad and a 1m cable.
The ICOM Keypad offers eight memories for pre-recorded messages in different
operating modes. This is especially useful in contests, but can also be used
for any CQ call or other standard text.
These memories are available for CW, RTTY and SSB, and can normally be
recalled via the touch screen. However, since you usually want to display
something else on the screen, this extension offers the possibility to recall
the eight memories with an external
keyboard. This makes it much easier to run a contest or work through a pile-
up.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
▪ Plug the 3.5mm cable into the keypad connector and the other end into the
jack of the external keyboard of the radio.
(And is also adapted to IC7300, IC7610, IC7100. Corresponding sockets may
vary.)
▪ Memory numbers 1 to 8 can be recalled for CW, RTTY and SSB modes.
▪ Go to the settings screen, click on CONNECTOR, then click on EXTERNAL KEYPAD, and then turn all these settings ON.
▪ Store the contents of different modes according to your needs, and press the store button of the keypad in the corresponding mode to send.
