PRODUCT OVERVIEW

4G LTE 5G Antenna Panel LTE MIMO LowcostMobile 2x5m black cable ALSR200, SMA Connectors

  • We would like to inform you about the differences in “4G/5G networks bars” visible on the router or from the administration interface with our mobile antenna and without an antenna. In many cases without our antenna, you pick up a low frequency inside your home, it’s a frequency that has intrinsic properties of radio propagation ideal in the atmosphere and that penetrates well through buildings. BUT, when you install our mobile antenna outside or inside as high as possible, the operator station and router will always pick up the highest available frequency deployed by the operator automatically, instead of the lowest that has the most signal. The higher frequency is more difficult to penetrate in the atmosphere and across buildings.
  • This phenomenon is observed because the operators manage their frequencies efficiently, and thus you can pass substantially from 3 bars of networks in 4G 800Mhz (low band) to 0, 1 or 2 bars of networks in 4G 1800Mhz 2100Mhz or 2600Mhz (Intermediate and high), or 1 bar of network 5G 3500Mhz without you being able to intervene because many routers do not allow to block on a defined 4G/5G frequency. This is why you should not mix your interpretations, your comparisons with or without antenna, if you do not know on which frequency you were without antenna. A bar of 4G 1800Mhz can provide you with more throughput than 4 bars of 4G 800Mhz, a bar of 5G 3500Mhz can provide you with more throughput than 4 bars of 5G 700Mhz. The rates vary according to the frequency spectrum allocated by each operator but also the rates available during your tests which vary according to the number of users connected, operator network congestion, IP Range and depending on the type of connection between the operator station and the Internet network.
  • We remind you that we offer to all customers our technical after-sales service on [email protected], in order to identify for you the stations operators that covers your area, and to refine the pointing of our mobile antenna. If you don’t have the skills to identify an operator station with these technical characteristics, that means you did not find the correct operator station to point because the radio propagation in the atmosphere is random and you can take an operator station farther away, other than the desired station of departure. We advise you to contact us for a complete diagnosis of your coverage with our tools.
  • We ask you to provide us: your current mobile operator, the 4G/5G router reference with software version inside (because some software routers don’t activate external antenna connectors by default), Cellid (Visible from the router interface if possible), RSRP, RSRQ, SINR as well as the GPS coordinates in decimal of the installation of your antenna to the nearest meter (do not use your smartphone which can give an approximate position). We advise all our customers to install this antenna outside on the same mast as the terrestrial TNT antenna to maximize performance with sufficient spacing to avoid disturbances between the two technologies.
  • To conclude, know that a 4G/5G connection is not only measured with the strength of the signal (the network bars visible on the 4G/5G router), but also with the quality of the signal (RSRQ) and the SINR in particular.

Safety tips + installation instructions

WARNING

  • When you working on antenna and connection on electronic device, turn off the router, mobile phone or Hotspot modem!
  • Follow instructions carefully, otherwise there is a risk of destroying your device.
  • Since LTE/5G technology uses MIMO technology, 4G/5G routers are now equipped with two SMA connectors or two TS9 connectors. You can also add an adapter to connect antennas to a Box 4G/5G or device with CRC9 (TS5) or TS9 Mconnectors widely deployed on market by manufacturers Huawei, Dlink, TP Link, Asus, ZTE and more. Some equipment also uses MHF4 connectors.
  • In order to obtain the best speed from the operator’s LTE/5G network, antenna must be installed outside in open field to appropriate transmitter.
  • Most 4G/5G routers detect external antenna automatically when they are connected to the connectors. However, we advise you to block the router in “outdoor antenna” mode if possible.

Assembly instructions

  1. Find the best place outside the building and point antenna to the operator station who covers the best your home. The operator station can be located nearest to your home or head office, but also be a more distant antenna and not the nearest on map.
  2. Outdoor antenna must, under certain conditions, be earthed in accordance with current standards. Talk to your electrician for more information.
  3. Connect antenna to the router. Use antenna only with the original cable. Do not shorten the cable, otherwise antenna performance may be changed, and there is also a danger of destroying antenna or the electronic device. The use of an extra extension adapter may be considered, but knowing that you need to be careful attention to the type of compatible adapter, adding a cable will change the performance of your connection. Improper handling can destroy antenna connectors. We sell 2.5m, 5m and 10m extension cables of ALSR200 cable don’t hesitate to contact us.
  4. Turn on the router and watch the signal strength: RSRP, Cellid, through the router interface on the appropriate page.
  5. To align antenna, please move it in 5° increments clockwise and observe display of the router or web interface accessible from your usual web browser on your smartphone. Refer to your router’s manual, please also leave few seconds before informations are up-to-date. You can call a professional to optimize reception of LTE/5G signals, it is even highly recommended. You can discuss about that on our email: [email protected]
  6. On Android, there are applications that help you to identify technical informations of an operator station, in order to conclude that your home is covered by this operator station. If you would like more information, please contact us at [email protected]
  7. After determining the best position of antenna (in cm), tighten the fasteners while holding antenna by hand.
  8. Don’t bend or damage cable, as this will affect quality of your connection and performance of the router.
