START FEEDING
Ensure to add your dog’s weight and the food they eat on our app in order to
get the recommended calories required.
Begin your feed at the touch of a button
Start by pressing the pebble button on the top left. The pebble will flash
yellow-orange three times and the Ilume™ logo on the right of the bowl will
illuminate. The bowl is now ready to be filled.
If the red light appears after three flashing white lights it means that the
hub and bowl are not connected. Ensure all your devices are connected before
proceeding and you have an active internet connection..
Fill the bowl slowly and watch the pebble ring
Optimal nutrition in a bowl
light illuminate as it’s weighed. When the correct amount of food is in the
bowl, a green light will flash and you’ll hear a beep.
If the light turns red then there is more than the recommended grams in the
bowl. Remove some of the food until the light goes green, indicating the
correct portion. START LEARNING
Your first 30 days and beyond with ilume™ ilume™ is driven by your dog’s
unique data, so every path is unique. We’ll take you on a personal journey by
learning your dog’s daily routines to build their personalised profile.
Week 1
Feeding plan backed by science| During the first 7 days we are gathering as
much data as possible to begin personalizing your dog’s nutrition from day 8.
Until then, we use the industry standard feeding that considers body weight
and estimated activity to inform feeding.
---|---
Week 2
Tailored feeding recommendations| Your dog’s activity data from the last 7
days provides an average calorific expenditure. We also take into account new
metrics
learned by completing your profile, including your dog’s BCS and leg length.
Week 3-4
Adaptive learning, more
personalised feeds| Based on new insights learnt from your dog’s activities,
sleep patterns and health signals, feeding is again recalculated further and
personalised to your dog. By day 22 we are also expecting to see a new weigh-
in.
After 4 weeks
Everyday is different| Once the system has 28 complete days of data we start
to make predictions based on previous data. Our AI stops looking at weeks and
starts looking at how your dog behaves on a Monday vs Saturday, recommending
the right amount to feed each day.
