HURRIKAN’s STORY
Hurrikan is an American luxury home appliance and specialty retailer
headquartered in New York City. In 2022, Hurrikan introduced the industry-
leading commercial dehumidifier as we know it today. We’re proud to build on
our legacy as the leader in dehumidifier traceability with responsibly sourced,
expertly crafted dehumidifiers that celebrate technology in all its forms.
Our Origin
The outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020 brought an online shopping boom and a
new lockdown lifestyle, consequently increasing the demand for large buildings
for either storage or dwelling needs. As a household dehumidifier manufacturer
ourselves, we sensed the pressing need for commercial dehumidifiers that could
maintain an appropriate humidity condition for good storage or living.
Therefore, we started to extend beyond producing household dehumidifiers into
the commercial field, in an attempt to not only create a solution but to also
challenge the monotonous designs embodied by the existing commercial
dehumidifiers.
To convey our message, we blended in a touch of creativeness into the
appliances’ designs. We drew inspiration from luxury clothing, and therefore,
elegance and boldness had become our antithesis to appliances’ predominating
tedious design. With the brand concept “sweep away the unwanted”, we hope to
invigorate everyone not to be bothered by the depressing moments, but instead
to boldly overcome whatever that comes before us.
Our Style
Guided by our unique perspective, we challenge commercial dehumidifiers’
predominant boring design, adopting boldness in our product design instead.
Specifically, we hope to make our product “sweep away the unwanted”by
integrating high-performance components. Our Hurrikan is unique for achieving
a balance between appearing elegant and being powerful. Hurrikan represents a
revolution: the brand transforms a field that was previously cumbersome into a
stage for boldness, bringing new aesthetic standards to appliance design.
Our Logo
Hurricane is central to Hurrikan’s product designs: it epitomizes nature’s
almighty force and symbolizes the perpetual pursuit of power, clearness, and
relentlessness. Hurrikan’s logo design thus resembles tornado, bearing an
elegantly modest but implicitly robust appearance. Hurricane as the design
element also perfectly aligns with Hurrikan’s ideal-to lead a vigorous, bold,
and cleansed life.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
This commercial dehumidifier removes excess moisture from storage spaces and
large buildings.
The environmentally friendly R32 is used as the refrigerant. R32 has no
damaging influence on the ozone layer (ODP), has a negligible greenhouse effect
(GWP), and is available worldwide. Because of its efficient energy properties,
R32 is highly suitable as a coolant for this product. Precautions must be
taken into consideration due to the coolant’s flammability.
IMPORTANT SYMBOLS
| This unit uses a flammable refrigerant.
If the refrigerant leaks or comes in contact with fire or a heating source,it
will create harmful gas and there will be a risk of fire.
