Product Usage Instructions

Test for COVID-19

1. Obtain a single patient swab sample (nasal or nasopharyngeal).
2. Follow the step-by-step instructions on the ID NOW screen to perform the COVID-19 test.

Add On Influenza A & B

1. After the COVID-19 test, choose to add on an Influenza A & B test or conclude testing.
2. Select the desired option on the ID NOW screen: Add on Influenza A & B or No Influenza A & B test.
3. If adding on Influenza A & B:
   • Select Actions.
   • Select COMBO: COVID-19 + Flu A & B.
   • Conclude the COVID-19 test by removing and discarding used components.
   • Attach the USED COVID-19 test base/transfer cartridge to the UNUSED Influenza A & B sample receiver for disposal.
   • Use a new Influenza A & B test base and transfer cartridge with the SAME COVID-19 2.0 sample receiver to complete the add-on test.
4. Read the final result and follow the Product Insert instructions for safe handling and disposal of components.

• Q: Can I use the same sample receiver for both COVID-19 and Influenza A & B tests?
  • A : Yes, you can use the same sample receiver for both tests by following the specified workflow and using new test components as instructed.
• Q: Is a software update required to run the Influenza A & B test in sequential workflow?

Materials required for sequential workflow

• ID NOW™ Influenza A & B 2 test time to result when run in sequential workflow after the ID NOW™ COVID-19 2.0 test. ID NOW™ software update to version 7.1 required for sequential workflow capability.

TEST FOR COVID-19, AND ADD ON INFLUENZA A & B USING A SINGLE PATIENT SWAB

Before performing these tests, refer to the ID NOW™ COVID-19 2.0 Product Insert for the complete test procedure and additional information.

Follow the step-by-step instructions on the ID NOW screen to perform a COVID-19 test. After the COVID-19 test, choose to add on an Influenza A & B test or conclude testing.

• Option 1: Add on Influenza A & B.
• Option 2: No Influenza A & B test.

• Do not remove the used sample receiver.
• Take an UNUSED sample receiver from the Influenza A & B test kit, and carefully remove the seal.
• Lift the USED COVID-19 test base/transfer cartridge from the instrument, and attach it to the UNUSED Influenza A & B sample receiver for disposal.
• 
• Use a new Influenza A & B test base and transfer cartridge  with the SAME COVID-19 2.0 sample receiver to complete an add-on test
