Safety Instructions

Please read this manual and the safety instructions carefully before using the device for the first time. We accept no liability for damage caused by failure to observe these operating instructions and the safety instructions.

General safety instructions

• Avoid strong vibrations, shocks or extrusion, protect the instrument from sun and rain during transport.
• The device should be stored in a clean, cool and dry room, avoid direct sunlight and contact with corrosive substances.
• Do not let children or pets bite into the device or accessories, as this may cause damage or failure of the device.
• The device and accessories contain small parts. Please keep the device and accessories out of the reach of small children. Children may accidentally swallow small parts and choke on them.
• Do not drop the product or subject it to strong impact to avoid damaging it, which may cause the device to fail.

Precautions for batteries

• Overheating of the battery may cause an explosion.
• If the battery leaks, avoid contact of skin and eyes with the leaking liquid. In case of direct contact, please rinse with clean water immediately and go to hospital for medical treatment.
• If a battery shows discoloration, deformation, abnormal heating or other abnormalities during use, charging or storage, please stop using it.
• Always dispose of the battery according to the regional disposal regulations and do not throw it in the household waste.

Getting Started

Add SkyTag to Apple Find My:

• Update your device to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
• Turn on the Bluetooth function of your phone and remove the protective film from the SlimTag :
• Open the Apple Find My app and tap on the “+” icon.
• Select “Add another item” and search for SlimTag ,
• Follow the on-screen instructions to add the SlimTag ,

Pair with another Apple ID :

• Remove your SlimTag from Find My by tapping on the “Items”tab, tapping the name of the SlimTag item, scrolling down to the bottom of the detail card and then tapping “Remove Item”.

Function Notes

• Find items at close range – Play sound function For the paired SlimTag, within the short range of the owner to play sound to indicate the SlimTag location. If it’s hiding nearby, such as under a cupboard or in the next room, you can easily follow the sound to find it.

• SlimTag is away from the owner
  The owner can see the location of the lost SlimTag on Apple device, navigate by the map to find SlimTag and items.

• Lost Mode – Find things easier
  SlimTag can be set as “Lost Mode”. Open the Find My app select an added SlimTag, click on the “Lost Mode”, folling the instructions of the app, enter phone number, then setting is successful. In Lost Mode you automatically get a notification when it’s detected by other devices in the Find My network. So if other pick up your SlimTag, they can know how to contact you by following the learn more instructions in Find My app. People nearby also can identify to the owner, help the owner find lost items.

• Find items with help of hundreds of million of Friend s
  Find My network will help you find your belongings when they are left behind. SlimTag will send out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby iOS devices in Find My network. These devices send the location of your SlimTag device to iCloud, then you can go to the Find My app and see it on the map. The whole process is anonymous and ecryptet to protect you privacy. And it’s efficient, so there is no need to worry about the battery life and data usage.

• Prevent unwanted tracking:
  To prevent unwanted tracking, your iOS device will detect a third-party SlimTag that is near you for an extended period of time and send you an alert. If you don’t detect the device after a while, it will play an alert sound to warn you. However, you will not receive any notification when a SlimTag is near its owner.

• Privacy Protection:
  Only you can see the location of your SlimTag . No location data or location history is physically stored in the SlimTag itself Communication with the Find My network is encrypted throughout, so only you have access to location data. Neither Apple nor anyone else can know the identity or location of the device involved in finding your SlimTag.

Care and Maintenance

• Do not open the device and have it repaired only by a specialist.
• Do not use any harsh chemicals, cleaning agents or the like for cleaning.
• Use a clean, dry cloth for wiping.

Disposal Notification

Electrical and electronic devices as well as batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries at the end of their service life to the public collection points set up for this purpose or to the point of sale.

• To use the Apple Find My app to locate this item, the latest version of iOS, iPad0S, or macOS is recommended. The Find items app on Apple Watch requires the latest version of watch0S.
