PREPARATION FOR USE

Unpacking And Set Up

  • Remove the alarm clock radio from the carton and packaging materials.
    Retain the carton and packaging for future reference and in case the alarm clock radio ever needs to be serviced or transported

  • Remove any descriptive labels or stickers on the front or top of the cabinet.
    Do not remove any labels or stickers from the back or bottom of the cabinet.

  • Note the serial number on the bottom of your radio and write this number in the space provided on the Warranty page of this manual.

  • Place your radio on a level surface such as a table, desk or shelf, convenient toan AC outlet, out of direct sunlight, and away from sources of excess heat, dirt, dust, moisture, humidity or vibration.

  • Select and attach the appropriate plug attachment to the AC mains adapter.
    Unwind and fully extend the power cable.

  • The FM antenna is unrelated to the AC mains adapter so move the last two sentences of the fifth bullet point into a new sixth bullet point

  • Connect the mains adapter to the mains supply and the radio. Ensure the mains socket is switched on

Protect Your Furniture
This model is equipped with non-skid rubber feet 1o prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls. These ‘feet are made from non-migrating rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on your furniture. However certain types of oil based fumiture polishes, wood preservatives, and cleaning sprays may cause the rubber feet (o soften and leave marks on the fumiture. To avoid the risk of such damage to your furniture we recommend either a piece of cloth or self-adhesive felt pads attached to the underside of the alarm clock radio

Power Source
The alarm clock radio uses anAC power adapter of a kind that depends on where the alarm clock radio was purchased. The AC power adapter for North America s rated 120V at 60Hz and within Europe or Australia s rated 220-240V at 50Hz. Using an  incorrectAC power adapter is not covered by your warranty because it may damage the alarm clock radio Alithium battery is used to maintain the time and alarm settings when the alarm clock radio loses AC mains power. To maximise the life of the lithium battery and to keep the radio and alarm functions active you must ensure the AC power adapter remains connected and that the AC mains outlet is  neverturned off. Ideally you should use an un-switched mains outlet.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Avoid installing this alarm clock radio in direct sunlight, close to sources of heat, where thereis poor ventilation and places that are dusty, humid, wet or subject to vibration
  • Do not use the AC power adapter ifany part of it shows signs of damage
  • Operate controls and switches as described in the manual.
  • Before tuning on the power, make certain that the AC adapter is properly installed.
  • When moving the set, be sure to first disconnect the AC adapter.

  1. When you are listening to the Radio, the short pressing of “ “or “ ’button is used to adjust the radio frequency;the long pressing of “ “or “ button is usedto speed up the searching: the “ /MEM.” or “ /STO.” button is used to store or play your favorite station; the Black Rotating Knob is used to change the Volume leve “ “or “ “button is used to speed up the searching.
  2. When using the bluetooth connection,press™ or * ” to play music forwards or backwards; circulate the sliver rotating knob to adjust the volume level.

DST (Daylight Saving Time) Setting

  1. 0nce the product RESET (factory setting) becomes, the product needs to set DST before reuse.This DST setting can be set in the Time Setting, the setting of hour, minute, month, day, year, 12/24 hours and DST, and this method can be available only in this condition
  2. You can also set the DST Time area by long press the “ “button until the DST words(d-OFF/d-EU/d-US/d-En/d-AU/d-Co/d-JP) flashes, then by short press the * /MEM. / /STO. ” button again to switch to your local DST.(OFF is for Turn off  DST;EU is for Europe; USiis for United States; Enis for The United Kingdom; AU is forAustralia; Co is for Mexico; JP is for Japan)

Note: When your local DST starts, the indicator “DST” will appear on the display untill the DST ends up

SETTING THE TIME

  1. Press and hold “TIME SET” button the HOUR and MINUTE digits will blink at the same time, Press “ ”or “ ” button to adjust the minute Press” /MEM.” or ” /STO.” button to adjust the hour;
  2. Press “TIME SET” button again ,the “MONTH” and “DATE” digits will blink at the same time, Press “ “or “ ” button to adjust the date,Press “ /MEM.” or “ /STO.” button to adjust the month
  3. Press “TIME SET” button again and the “Y EAR” digits will blink.
  4. Press “ /MEM.” or “ /STO.” button to adjust the year.
  5. Press “TIME SET” button again “24H” or “12H” blinks on the display. (24H means 24-hour clock, 12H means 12-hour clock)
  6. Press ” /MEM.” or “ /STO.” button to adjust the time format.
  7. Press “TIME SET” button again or wait for 40 seconds to return to the clock display.

SETTING THE ALARM

‘Your clock radio has two separate alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2) that can be set and used independently. Please ensure that you have set the wake up time and alarm mode correctly.

Setting the Wake up Alarm

  1. Push the AL1/AL2 slide switch to radio or Buzzer to turn on the alarm.
    When the indicator glows, the wake up to radio alarm is on
    When the indicator glows, the wake up to Buzzer alarm is on.
    Completely turn off the Alarms, Push the AL1/AL2 slide switch to OFF.

  2. Press and hold “AL1” button for 3 seconds and the “HOUR” and “MINUTE” digits will blink at the same time.

  3. Press or to adjust the minute.Press * /MEM.” or “ /STO. “to adjust the hour

  4. Press “AL1 SET” again and the “CURRENT VOLUME LEVEL” digits will blink. The volume levels range from 1 to 16, with level 16 being the loudest.

  5. Press /STO.” or /MEM.” to adjust to your desired alarm volume level

  6. Press “AL1 SET” again and the “DAY(S) OF THE WEEK” texts (MON to SUN) will blink.

  7. Press ” /STO.” or ” /MEM.” to select the alarm day mode(You can set the alarm days in the following 4 options
    Option 1: Everyday- Monday o Sunday
    Option 2: Weekdays- Monday to Friday
    Option 3: Weekends- Saturday and Sunday
    Option 4:Single Day Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/ Sunday

  8. Press “AL1” button or wait for 40 seconds to exit the alarm setting. After you have setthe alarm, the alarm indicator of “ ” or “ “will appear on the display.

  9. To set the Alarm 2, repeat the above steps 1 to 8.

Note 1: If no operation is performed while the alarm is sounding, the alarm will stop after 60 minutes.
Note 2: The last radio station you listened to will play when you choose to radio” for your alarm ringtone. “Wake to radio” for your alarm ringtone.

SNOOZE /REPEAT

  1. When alarm goes off ,you can press “SNOOZE/DIMMER’” 10 snooze for another 9 minutes .You can repeatedly press the “SNOOZE/DIMMER button but the alarm will turn off completely after an hour.
  2. Press “AL1 SET/AL2 SET ” to stop the alarm from sounding. The alarm will not sound again untilitis next required I
  3. f you want to turn off the set alarms completely, Push the AL1/AL2 slide switch to OFF. until the alarm signs OFF from the display.

LISTEN TO THE RADIO

Keep the clock radio away from other electronic devices to avoid radio interface.
For better reception, fully extend and adjust the position of the FM antenna.

  1. Plugin the power to turn on the clock.
  2. Press the “FM ON/OFF ” button to to turn ON/OFF the Radio. You will hear the previously selected radio station and the frequency in MHz will be displayed.
  3. Press either “ ” or “ ” to adjust the radio frequency.
  4. To find an adjacent station press and hold either the “ ’or “ ” button until the clock begins to search. Release the button and tuning will stop at the next available station.
  5. Keeping the * ” or ” button held down will bypass intermediate stations. and will not stop until the button is released.
  6. When you are listening to your desired station, you can rotate the 5 in 1 rotating knob to adjust the radio volume level
  7. The last station you listen to will be used for the wake up Radio alarm.

Store a Radio Stations

Up to 20 stations can be preset (P01, P02 … P20)

  1. Plug in the power to turn on the clock, and press the “FM ON/OFF” button to turn on the radio function.
  2. Turn to your desire stations by pressing * ‘or “ “
  3. Press” /STO. button, then a program number will blink.
  4. Press either’ ” or “ ” to select the program number you want to store the desired station.
  5. Press the “ /STO. button again, and the desired radio station has been stored in the selected preset number.
    Repeat the above steps (o slore the other radio stations.

Recalling Preset Stations

  1. Plugin the power to turn on the clock.
  2. Press the “FM ONJOFF” button to turn ON/OFF the Radio. Then the radio stations will show on the display.
  3. Press* /MEM.” button to recall the last programmed station.
  4. Then press either “ or “ ” to select the preset number.

Sleep to Radio Timer
There is a sleep timer function for you to select from 10, 20, 30….to 90 minutes to listen to the radio or the bluetooth before sleep, the radio will be tumed OFF ‘automatically after the set time.

  1. Plug in the powerto tum on the unit
  2. Press the * SLEEP/°C/°F “button and 10” will be displayed on the screen,it means that you have tumed on the Timer with 10 minutes count down
  3. If you want to extend the timer, you can press the “SLEEP/”C/button again then the count down time will be increased up to 90 minutes.
  4. If you want to switch OFF the timer function , you can keep pressing the *SLEEP/”C/F” button until “OFF” display on the screen, or just press “FM ON/OFF ” to tur OFF the clockdirectly

DIMMER CONTROL

DIMMER CONTOROL
To adjust the display brightness, keep pressing “DIMMER” button until your desired brightness level appears. Brightness is available in 4 levels Press “DIMMER button,you can adjust the brightness level as below: and can be adjusted even when the radio or Bluetooth connection is in use.

2 LEVEL LED DECOR

Press “LED” button to turn the ice blue light on/(high/low) of off if needed.

Bluetooth Connection

  • Press the BT ON/OFF button to turn the Bluetooth ON(BT indicator ‘Flashes’ for pairing. )
  • Enable your Bluetooth device and select CKS508 from its Available/Paired device list. If pairing successful, the unit will prompt and BT indicator will become solid.
  • Automatic connection with your Bluetooth devices is possible if they have been paired successfully with this unit before.
  • After paired, you can play your music through this Bluetooth Speaker.
  • Press briefly the button can pause or resume playback streaming over your Bluetooth device:

Note: If pairing unsuccessful, all previously paired Bluetooth devices around should be disconnected first by pressing and holding the BT ON/OFF button until it prompts, or turn Off their Bluetooth connection, in order to avoid making any auto reconnection between them. Then, set this unit to Bluetooth mode, and tap the Bluetooth switch on your phone/device Off and back ‘On’ again to refresh/search any nearby CKS508 for pairing.

Sensing Room Temperature and Humidity

  1. Plug in the power to turn on the unit. The indoor temperature in Fahrenheit(F) or Celsius(C), and the indoor humidity(shows as xx%).will always shows below the display.
  2. 2, The temperature can be converted between Fahrenheit and Celsius by pressing and holding the”SLEEP/ °C/F “button while in temperature mode.

USB CHARGING

There is one USB ports.

  1. The USB port can be used for charging an external device but does not support fast charging.

Charging is limited to a maximum of 5V at 1.2A. Exceeding this limit may damage your radio alarm clock.

EARPHONE JACK

  1. If the earphone/headphone is left connected then the alarm does not
  2. sound through the loudspeaker.
    Earphones can be connected to the 3.5mm earphone jack socket for quiet istening

Note: Connecting earphones disables the speakers so remember to remove the earphones when you have finished if you have set an alarm.

CHANGING THE LITHIUM BATTERY

  1. The lithium battery needs replacing when the battery indicator is ON. If you do not replace the battery then the time and alarm settings will be lost if there is a power interruption.
  2. Use a small cross-point screwdriver to open the battery compartment then slide out the carrier. Replace the CR2032 battery with the + symbol uppermost.

DO NOT INGEST BATTERY,CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD
This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal bums in just 2 hours and can lead to death. compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
If you think batienes might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body,seek immediate medical attention.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Care Of Cabinets
If the cabinet becomes dusty, wipe it with a soft cloth. If the cabinet becomes smudged or dirty, clean it with a soft, siightly dampened cloth Never allow water or any liquid to get inside the cabinet. Never use any abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads as these will damage the finish of your radio.

Lithium Battery Precautions

  • Dispose of the old battery properly. Do not leave it lying around where a young child or pet could play with or swallow it If the battery is swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
  • The battery may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge it or disassemble it. Do not dispose of the old battery in a fire.
    ‘The apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on the apparatus.
