Time Illumination
To illuminate the time, briefly press the push-button. The hour and logo will light up, gradually dim, and turn off after 4 seconds. Press the button again to display seconds.

Setting the Time

  1. Activate setting mode by pressing and holding the push-button for 3 seconds.
  2. Follow the steps to set the hour (AM/PM) using the push-button.
  3. Switch to minute tens digit setting by holding the push-button for 2 seconds after setting the hour.
  4. Set the minute tens digit by pressing the button.
  5. Switch to minute units digit setting by holding the button for 2 seconds.
  6. Set the minute units by pressing the button.
  7. Switch to seconds setting by holding the button for 2 seconds after setting the minutes.
  8. Restart seconds by short pressing the button.

Battery End-of-life Indicator:
When “Lo” is displayed alternating with the time, it indicates the battery needs replacement. The display lasts for 9 seconds.

Standard time display

The Hamilton Ventura Edge Dune watch displays the time using the AM/PM time system.

  • AM: from midnight to midday ( 0:00 -11:59 )
  • PM: from midday to midnight ( 12:00 -11:59 )

Time illumination

  • M051-Ventura-Edge-Dune-Hamilton-Watch-2Briefly press the push-button so that the hour is illuminated. The logo is also illuminated and it gradually dims before turning off completely.
  • If no other action is taken, the display will return to standard mode after 4 seconds.
  • While the time is illuminated, press the push-button again to display the seconds.
  • Pressing the push-button again will take you back immediately to the standard display.
  • If no other action is taken, the display will return to standard mode after 10 seconds.
  1. Activating setting mode

    • Press and hold the push-button for 3 seconds to enter time-setting mode.
    • Follow the numbered steps 1 to 8.
    • The time to be set will flash, and “A” or “P” will be displayed. This tells you that the time is in the morning “AM”, or afternoon “PM”.
    • If no other action is taken, the display will return to standard mode after 5 seconds.
    • Note: Once the display returns to standard mode, the last change made will be saved. This is valid for each setting step.
  2. Hour setting (AM/PM)
    Every press on the push-button increases the value by one unit.
    Example: 4 presses to go from 10 o’clock (AM) to 2 o’clock (PM).

  3. Switching to minute tens digit setting
    After setting the hour, press and hold the push-button for 2 seconds to switch to the min-ute tens digit setting.
    If no other action is taken, the display will return to standard mode after 10 seconds.

  4. Setting the minute tens digit
    Every press on the push-button increases the value by one unit.
    Example: 2 presses to go from 25 to 45 minutes.

  5. Switching to minute units digit setting
    Press and hold the push-button for 2 seconds to switch to minute units digit setting.
    If no other action is taken, the display will return to standard mode after 10 seconds.

  6.  Setting the minute units
    Every press on the push-button increases the value by one unit.
    Example: 5 presses to go from 2:45 to 2:40.

  7.  Switching to seconds setting
    After setting the minute, press and hold the push-button for 2 seconds to switch to seconds setting.
    If no other action is taken, the display will return to standard mode after 60 seconds, and the seconds will restart automatically.

  8. Restarting the seconds
    A short press on the push-button will restart the seconds and the display will immedi-ately return to standard mode.
    To ensure the setting is accurate to the second, moved the time forward to one minute ahead of the time used as a reference.
    Example: Set your watch to 2 : 40, and then wait for the reference time to change from 2 : 39 to 2 : 40 before pressing the push-button.

Battery end-of-life indicator

  • When the battery reaches the end-of-life, “Lo” will be displayed for 1 second alternating with the time display which lasts for 9 seconds. This means that it is time to replace the battery.

  • “Lo” will continue to be displayed until the battery is replaced.
    When the time display flashes continually, the battery must be replaced as soon as possible to ensure your watch continues to work.

  • Notes: In both situations, it is no longer possible to illuminate the time, in order to conserve what little remains of the battery power. Your watch will however continue to work correctly and the other settings are still available.

  • Information: For battery changes, please go to a HAMILTON-approved maintenance center, or a HAMILTON point of sale.
