Instructions for assembling Layzee Living wooden Gazebo
-
Fit base plate kit (if this was purchased with your gazebo) with 4x 3” screws
-
Stand or lay the posts side by side as a pair so that the notches are facing outwards
-
Place the outer rail of which there are two in the position shown and pre-drill, fix in place with 2x 4” screws repeating at the opposite end
-
Repeat the operation with the second outer rail. Now stand the two outer rails up at approximately the width of the gable ends that we have pre-made for you At each end of the gable end there are packing pieces as per picture which can be discarded, these are for ease of stacking at our warehouse
-
Place the gable on each end. The holes may already be pre drilled for you. Fix the gable to the other side of the outer frame, (not the post which is a common mistake) with 2no 100mm screws at each joint. Repeat this operation at the opposite end. Should look like this
-
Insert the centre rail which has two pre-positioned L brackets attached. Place centrally on the post and fix in place with 4no 45mm screws at both ends
-
To fit the trusses always start from the top on both sides. You will see we have already marked the positions on the outer and centre frames. Pre drill the frame and fix with just 1no 100mm screw as this is all that is required, the second one will go next to this one and will need to be screwed in at an angle due to the opposite one being in the way.
-
Once the centre trusses are in place you can now screw them to the outer frame. If the frames are bowed or twisted either pop the framing into the notch or pull the framing to the outside so it’s as flush as can be. Pre drill through the top of the truss and fix in place with a 150mm/ 180mm screw.
-
At this point measure from corner to corner and get your gazebo as square as possible. This will ensure that your roofing goes on in an even manner.
-
Make sure your posts are level and fit the corner braces. Pre drill at each end and fit in place with the 100mm screws.
At this point if you have ordered the frame only Kit you will need to fix your Gazebo in place -
Your framing kit is level and fixed in position. You now need to fit your 2-side fascia’s. Pre drill and fix in place with a 3″ screw at the end of each truss.
-
Starting from the bottom overhang the first Featheredge board 25mm and fit in place with stainless steel nails. We recommend 2 nails at each truss. Place the next board on top so that there is a 30mm overlap and repeat the nailing process. Repeat this until you reach the top. Repeat on the other side. How you finish the overlap at the top is your choice but we believe to overlap the two top most boards is favourite.
Plywood/ felt shingle roof instructions Sheets of ply are cut to size. They are fitted using 3” screws supplied. Instructions to fit felt shingles are on the packaging however, any issues call 02078673959 and we will talk you through it. -
Finally fit the front and rear fascias. Using the 3″ screws pre drill either through the front or for a neater finish through the top
-
. Well done you should now have an amazing gazebo. Please make sure that you treat your build with a suitable oil/ solvent-based product once a year to keep your structure in tip top shape
