Introduction

The 2-Port 8K60Hz HDMI Splitter distributes HDMI video and audio from a single source to 2 HDMI displays simultaneously.

Features

  • Supports 8K @60Hz YUV 4:4:4, 4K @120Hz, 4K @144Hz (via EDID copy), 1080p @240Hz

  • HDCP 2.3/2.2/1.4 compliant

  • Audio: Uncompressed LPCM and compressed DTS and Dolby Digital audio (including DTS-HD Master and Dolby True HD)

  • EDID modes: Auto, copy, downscale. With an 8K input, downscaling allows mixed 8K and 4K (or 1080p) displays to operate in their native resolutions

  • Supports HDR10, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision via video pass-through (EDID copy)

  • Supports CEC (output 1 only), VRR, and ALLM.
    Note: For VRR/ALLM support, we recommend that both output monitors/TVs are of the same make/model and they support VRR/ALLM

  • USB bus-powered

Installation Requirements

  • HDMI source device (computer, DVD player, XBOX, PS3, etc)
  • HDMI display devices (SDTV/Monitor, HDTV/ Monitor, projector, etc.)

Product Layout

  1. Power LED: On when the splitter is powered on
  2. Output (1-2) LED: On when displays are detected
  3. Auto EDID Mode LED: When on, the EDID of the display with the lowest capabilities is transmitted to both displays – see EDID Management on page 7 for more information
  4. Copy EDID Mode LED: When on, the EDID of the display connected to Output 1 is the default for both outputs – see EDID Management on page 7 for more information
  5. Downscale EDID Mode LED: When on, the splitter will automatically downscale an 8K source signal to 4K or 1080p displays – see EDID Management on page 7 for more information
  6. EDID Mode Selection Button: Press to select Auto, Copy, Downscale EDID mode in sequence
  7. Power Jack (USB-C): Connects to the included USB Type-C to Type-A power cable
  8. HDMI In: Connect to your HDMI source device
  9. Outputs (1-2): Connect to your HDMI displays

Hardware Installation

  1. Power off all devices including your HDMI source and HDMI displays.
  2. Connect your HDMI source device to the HDMI In connector with an HDMI cable (HDMI cable not included).
  3. Connect your HDMI displays to the Output (1-2) connectors with HDMI cables (HDMI cables not included).
  4. Plug the included USB power cable into the splitter’s power jack then plug the other end into a USB 3.0 port or 5V/1A wall charger.
  5. Power on all connected devices.
  6. The 8K HDMI splitter is ready for use.

Note: Please use the latest HDMI 2.1 or later cables for best performance.

EDID Management

Press the EDID button on the front panel to switch between the three EDID modes.

Auto EDID

  • Reads the EDID of each display and uses lowest resolution and audio format for both displays
  • This is the default EDID mode
  • When the splitter is powered Off/On it returns to Auto EDID mode

Copy EDID

  • Copies EDID of the monitor connected to Output 1
  • Supports downscaling from 8K to 4K or 1080p on HDMI Output 2

Note:

  • Supports 4K @120Hz and 4K @144Hz outputs

Downscale EDID

  • Maximum resolution: 8K @60Hz YUV 4:2:0
  • EDID of monitor on Output 1 is sent to Output 2, and downscaled accordingly
  • Supports downscaling from 8K to 4K or 1080p on HDMI Output 2

Note:

  • ONLY supports 2ch audio with Downscale EDID mode
