Installation

Refer to the installation diagram for AKO-54041A, AKO-5404C, and AKO-5406 for proper placement and dimensions.

Operation

During a power cut, emergency lighting in the lift cabin will activate automatically. The electronic alarm will continue to operate using its own battery power. When the power is restored,the lighting turns off, and the unit starts recharging automatically.

Maintenance

Regularly clean the equipment surface using a soft cloth, soap, and water. Avoid abrasive detergents, petrol, alcohol, or solvents.

Description
The purpose of the AKO-5404C is to provide the cabins of lifts with alarm and emergency lighting in case of a power cut. They provide sufficient power to operate the emergency lighting and the powerful electronic alarm, whether or not there is voltage in the mains supply. This equipment comply with European standard EN 81-1

Features

The power supply set includes an electronic alarm and recharge automatically their batteries. It is possible to instal outside of the cabin or at a long distance where the alarm signal is needed. It has an output to supply 6 V up to 500 mA to the emergency lighting lamps and a permanent one of 6 V up to 40 mA. The AKO-54041A have and auxiliar relay to act remote devices.

230 V switch, located near the device and marked as an alarm cut-off device. The cables shall enter through the indicated part and shall be of type H05V-K or H05VVV-F. The 230 V~ connection area must be kept clear of any external elements. The cross-section to be used will depend on the local regulations in force, but must never be less than 1.5 mm2.

Installation

  • Secure the alarm unit with 4 screws (A).
  • Remove the connection cover (B) by pressing on the sides (C).
  • Connect the cables according to the wiring diagram and replace the connection cover (B).
  • AKO-5406: Fixing screws max. 4 mm diameter (D).

Operation

In case of a power cut, the lighting inside the lift cabin comes automatically, the electronic alarm continues in operation due to its own power source from batteries. When the supply is restored, the lighting goes off and the unit begins to recharge automatically.
