Getting Started

1. If the main filter is HEPA go to step 2. For the carbon main filter remove the filter from the plastic wrap before use. Follow the instructions for
   How to Check and Replace the Filter (to the right).

2. Plug the adapter into the back of the machine.
   It will power on at medium speed.

3. Remove the plastic tab from the remote control.

4. Press the + to increase fan speed and – to lower fan speed while pointing the remote at the display.
   Lights will turn off after 10 seconds.

5. Dock the remote on the top of the air purifier.
   There is a magnet to hold it in place.

Note: AirMend will only operate with an Oransi filter.
Filter Check Indicator
The red light at the bottom of the fan speed display window will illuminate in red when it is time to check or replace the filter.
How to Check and Replace the Filter

• Unplug the air purifier. Remove the front cover by pulling at the bottom of the cover away from the machine.
• If the HEPA filter media looks dirty or is a gray color it should be replaced. You can vacuum or wash the mesh pre-filter the remove larger dust particles.
• The main filter has to be installed with the side labeled “Bottom” facing down otherwise the machine may not power on. Place the mesh pre-filter to cover the main filter.
• Place the front cover back on by pressing in the four corners. Do not press in the center of the front grill cover.
• Plug the air purifier in.
• To turn off the filter check light point the remote control at the light and press and hold the filter reset button for 4 seconds.

• Do not attempt to service the air purifier in any way other than to replace or clean the air filter.
• This product shall only operate with an Oransi supplied 120V 60Hz power adapter.
• WRNING: Always unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when the air purifier is not in use or when changing the filter.
• Never run the air purifier unless it is fully assembled.
• Do not alter the plug in any way.
• Always turn off the air purifier before unplugging the air purifier from outlet.
• Do not place the cord near a heated surface.
• Never operate the air purifier if the plug or cord is damaged or appears damaged. Only qualified service personnel should ever replace or attempt to replace a damaged power cord or plug.
• Never use the power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lift the air purifier.
• Do not pull the cord against or around sharp corners and edges.
• Always remove the plug from its power outlet by holding onto the plug itself and pulling gently.
• Use care when operating the air purifier by keeping all foreign objects, fingers, body parts, hair, loose clothing, jewelry, etc., away from openings.
• Do not drop items into the air purifier.
• Never touch the air purifier or its plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not operate without the filters installed.
•  Only use in an upright position. Do not place anything on top of the air purifier other than the remote control.
• Use only as described in the manual.
• Use only Oransi replacement filters.
• Place air purifier on a flat, stable surface.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to by-pass this safety feature.
• Do not route cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
• Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
• Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
• Battery type: CR2025 3V
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
• Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
• Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
• Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.

• INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
• DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
• A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
• KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
• Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
