FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: When “Schedule Charging” is enabled, will the Schumacher charger also
charge manually?
A: Yes, simply plug in the charging gun, unplug it, and plug the charging
gun in again within 10 seconds to override scheduled charging and immediately
begin charging. Alternatively, if the charging gun is plugged into the
vehicle, the user can use the On/Off feature in the SchuPower™ app to initiate
charging at any time.
Q: What functions can be accessed via the SchuPower™ app?
A: The SchuPower app allows users to schedule charging, start and stop a
charging session in real-time, track charging history, see any faults or
errors that occur during charging, and monitor charging in real time with a
“pull down to refresh” feature. The app also allows users to select their user
interface from 15 languages. In addition, Schumacher regularly updates the app
to add new features and additional functionality for its customers.
Q: The Schumacher EV charger is not connecting to Wi-Fi. What is wrong?
A: Several things could be causing this issue. First, make sure that the
selected Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. This is the only type of Wi-Fi compatible
with the Schumacher EV charger. Second, make sure that when asked you gave the
SchuPower™ app permission to use your device’s Bluetooth. The app will not be
able to locate the charger if Bluetooth is not enabled. Last, check to make
sure that the EV charger is in range of the home’s Wi-Fi signal.
Q: When I try to schedule charging, I don’t see a way to select a.m. or
p.m. How do I select a p.m. time?
A: Check your smartphone or tablet’s date and time settings. If your
phone is set to 24-hour time the SchuPower™ app will also use a 24-hour clock
to schedule charging. Times in the p.m. will appear as 13:00 (1 p.m.), 17:00
(5 p.m.), 22:30 (10:30 p.m.), etc.
Q: I need additional troubleshooting assistance. What should I do?
A: Call Schumacher customer service at
1-800-621-5485. A customer service
specialist will help you troubleshoot your problem.
