Ensure full seal:

To achieve the optimal level of sound attenuation, the cups should sit tightly against the head and not be placed over mask straps or eyewear frames. The earmuffs should fully cover the ear.

Storage time:

Always keep the product in its original packaging at a dry, clean place, away from UV light and out of direct sunlight at a temperature of 5° to 25°C and air humidity
of a maximum of 85%. If these instructions are followed, the product can be stored for up to 5 years fromthe date of manufacturing. The manufacturing date can be found on the product and on the packaging.
MM/YYYY=month/manufacturing year. Please ensure that the frame is not distended and the earpiec

pads are not pressed together during storage.

Useful life:

The earmuffs, and in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage. Replace the earpiece pads as when required, but at least every 6 months. Remove the old cushions and carefully place the new pads in the earmuffs so they are in the correct position and push in firmly (fig. 5a-c). The frame should not be bent or adjusted unnecessarily as the correct pressure level of this component is an important factor
in maintaining the sound attenuation characteristics of the product. Dispose of the product five years after the date of manufacturing or immediately after it is damaged or can no longer be cleaned.

Cleaning and disinfection:

Please avoid the use of any disinfectants, solvents and chemical substances. Only use cleaning products which are not harmful to humans. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from the
manufacturer. The earmuffs can be cleaned by using a damp cloth and warm soapy water. Allow to dry before subsequent use.
Do not use any abrasive brushes or other products which may damage the product’s sound attenuation and seal.
Hygiene kits are suitable for all uvex earmuffs in the K-Series.
Information: The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.
