FFP1 = 4xL (not against particles from carcinogenic and radioactive materials, microorganisms or enzymes), FFP2 = 10xL (not against particles from radioactive materials, viruses and enzymes), FFP3 = 30xL (20xL for the UK). *) Limits include, for example, the MAC and TRC limits for air in the workplace specified in TRGS 900. (MAC = maximum admissible workplace concentration; TRC = technical reference concentration)
Warnings/restrictions Read and follow the national requirements and instructions for use. The mask does not protect against gases and vapours. Users must be familiar with using and handling the product. Facial hair or scars around the edge of the mask will prevent the mask from fitting properly. Closed-circuit self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) must be used in environments with a risk of oxygen deficiency, a concentration of hazardous substances which is too high, or where conditions are unknown. In the event of increased airway resistance, after use or after damage to the mask, it should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. The product must not be altered. Not suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.
Check before use The mask must be suitable for the intended application. An individual risk assessment must be carried out in each individual case. If you are uncertain about anything or have any questions regarding application, please contact your safety officer.
Check the mask is within the expiry date and shows no signs of visible defects; do not use the mask if a defect is present or the expiry date has been exceeded.
Instructions for fitting the mask Follow the pictograms on the packaging in the correct order. Carefully stretch out the headband slightly using both hands (not necessary for fabric headbands). Position the lower Banda round your neck and the upper band above your ears. Adjust the nose clip. Secure the headband and/or adjust if necessary. Check the mask’s seal: place both hands at the sides of the mask and exhale forcefully. If air escapes from the sides of them ask, readjust the nose clip and/or headband. Do not enter the workstation unless the seal is complete. It is essential for your protection that the mask fits correctly; an improper fit can resin serious illnesses.
