  • Only use mercury and cadmium-free batteries.

  • Replace only with the same or equivalent type

To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods

  • Use the device in dry indoor environments only.
  • Protect the device from humidity.
  • This apparatus is for moderate climates areas use, not suitable for use in tropical climates countries.

Safety, Environmental and Setup Instructions

  • No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
  • The mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect devices shall remain readily operable.
  • Connect this device to a properly installed and earthed wall outlet only. Make sure the mains voltage corresponds with the specifications on the rating plate.
  • Make sure the mains cable stays dry during operation. Do not pinch or damage the mains cable in any way.
  • A damaged mains cable or plug must immediately be replaced by an authorized service center.
  • In case of lightning, immediately disconnect the device from the mains supply.
  • Children should be supervised by parents when using the device.
  • Clean the device with a dry cloth only.
  • Do NOT use CLEANING AGENTS or ABRASIVE CLOTHS!
  • Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
  • Install the device at a location with sufficient ventilation in order to prevent heat accumulation.
  • Do not cover the ventilation openings!
  • Install the device at a safe and vibration-free location.
  • Install the device as far away as possible from computers and microwave units; otherwise radio reception may be disturbed.
  • Do not open or repair the enclosure. It is not safe to do so and will void your warranty. Repairs only by authorized service/ customer center.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the unit.
  • When you are necessary to ship the unit store it in its original package. Save the package for this purpose.
  • In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge or fast transient (burst), remove and reconnect the power supply.
  • If the unit is not using for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply by unplugging the power plug. This is to avoid the risk of fire.

INSTALLATION

CONTENT OF DELIVERY

POWER SUPPLY

  • Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on the ac adapter identification plate.
  • Connect the supplied AC cable to a properly installed safety power socket and the plug of the cable into the AC socket at the back side of the unit.

BATTERY OPERATION

  1. Open the lid of the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit.
  2. Insert 6 batteries of type LR14 (“C” size) 1.5 V. Please ensure that the polarity is correct (see indicated in the battery compartment).
  3. Then close the battery lid.

Note:

  • When the unit is powered by batteries, in order to play longer time, it is better not adjust the volume to max.
  • If the device is operated with batteries and is in standby mode, the batteries will still be discharged. To avoid this, we recommend removing the batteries or connecting the device to the mains.

ERP power management
The unit will turn off automatically after 10-15 minutes in standby mode if there is no audio signal. To turn on the unit again press the “ STANDBY” button.

BASIC OPERATIONS

POWER ON / OFF
Press “ STANDBY” button to turn the unit on or off.

SELECTING MODES
During playing mode, press the “FUNCTION” button repeatedly to switch between the modes.

ADJUSTING VOLUME
Press “VOLUME UP/ DN” to adjust the sound level.
The current volume shows on the display briefly before returning to the previous display.

FM

Pull out the telescopic antenna. Incline and turn the antenna. Reduce its length if the signal is too strong (very close to a transmitter).

ACCESS THE RADIO FM MODE
Press “FUNCTION” button repeatedly until “r A d” show on display. The FM text lights on the display when FM mode is selected.

FULL SCAN AND AUTO STORE
Press and hold for 2 seconds the “ / SCAN” button, this unit will perform an automatic full scan.

MANUAL FM FREQUENCY SEARCH
Press “TUNE UP +” or “TUNE DN –“ to adjust the frequency in 50 kHz steps. Use this method to tune to weak or distant stations that are not strong enough to be recognized by the automatic searching.

Press and hold “TUNE UP +” or “TUNE DN –“ until the frequency on the display begins to change and then release the button to automatically search for the next available station.

TO STORE A STATION AS A PRESET

  1. Tune to a frequency and then press “PROG/+10” button.
  2. Select the station number with “TUNE UP +” or “TUNE DN -”.
  3. Display will show “P01” and then press “PROG/+10” button to preset channel number You can also store desired radio station directly to preset station buttons “1 – 5”.

To do this, select the desired radio station. Press and hold the corresponding station button pressed until “P#” appears on the display and confirm with “PROG/+10”.

RECALL PRESET RADIO STATIONS
To recall preset radio stations, press the “PRESET” button repeatedly until the desired preset number is shown on the display or press a preset station button “1 – 5”.

CD

Press the “FUNCTION” button repeatedly until CD mode is selected.

START CD PLAYBACK

  • Press the “ “button to open the disc compartment door.
  • “OP” shows on the display.
  • Load an audio CD or MP3-CD on to CD tray.
  • Press the CD door at the edge to close the disc compartment door. The unit should read the disc information and show the total number of tracks.

TO OPERATE THE PLAYBACK

  • Press “ / SCAN” to start playback

  • During playback, press “ / SCAN” to pause it. Press again to resume.

  • Press “ ” or “ ” to skip to the previous or next track. Press the “PROG/+10” button to skip next 10 tracks while playback.

  • Press and hold “ ” or “ ” to search backward or forward within the same track.
    Release the button to resume to playback at normal speed.

  • Press “ ” to stop the playback

TO PROGRAM THE PLAYBACK
The program playback mode lets you program a total of 20 tracks in any desired order. You can also program the same track to play several times within a program sequence

  1. In CD mode, press “ ” to stop any disc playback
  2. While playback is stopped, press the “PROG/+10” button and “P 01” show on the display “P” stands for program mode whereas “01” stands for the first program location.
  3. Press “ ” or “ ” to select the track for the first program location
  4. Press the “PROG/+10” button to store the selected track into the program location
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to program more tracks. Up to 20 tracks can be programmed. If program tracks over than 20, the display will show “FUL” it means memory is full.
  6. Press “ ” to start playback of the programmed tracks. Playback will stop after all programmed tracks are played.
  7. To play back the programmed tracks again, press “ / SCAN”.
  8. To cancel the programmed sequence from the memory, press “ ” twice in the program mode, or open the disc compartment door. “PROG” disappears from the display

AUDIOBOOK FUNCTION (RESUME)
If you change the mode or turn off the unit and come back to the CD mode, the unit starts the playback from the last heard point.

CLOCK

TIME SETUP

  1. Switch the unit to Standby mode press and hold “TIME” key in 2 seconds.
    Press “TUNE UP +” or “TUNE DN –“ to select 12 or 24HR.

  2. Press “TIME” to confirm.

  3. Press “TUNE UP +” or “TUNE DN –“ to set the hour time.

  4. Press “TIME” to confirm

  5. Press “TUNE UP +” or “TUNE DN –“ to set the minute time

  6. Press “TIME” then the clock time is now set.
    Note: When the digital clock is not set, the digital clock display shall continuously flash to indicate that the correct time has not yet been set.
