Thank you for choosing an essentiel b remote control. Keep this booklet for future reference. After inserting the batteries, this remote control is normally ready for use as it is already set at the factory with a specific code.
The RCLG21-1 remote control is designed for use with an LG brand digital TV. This device only reproduces the infrared signals that match with those of the original; if your TV is equipped with both Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (R) technology, the voice commands and pointers that are only accessible through RF technology will not be Supported. This remote control has a backup memory that saves the settings even if the batteries are removed. f you have any problems using it if you need more detailed information, or to find out about the product functionalities, please refer to the FULL MANUAL on the www.cme.it/boulanger website.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions carefully, and follow them. We advise you to keep this information in order to be able to program the remote control in the future.
- Do not modify the remote control in any way. Also, take note of the warranty terms and conditions.
- If necessary, you can wipe the body of the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse the remote control in water or any other liquids, and avoid the use of aerosols.
- To prevent damage to its internal components, do not disassemble the remote control.
- Avoid exposing this device to rain or humidity. Avoid exposing it to splashes of water.
- Do not place the remote control near to sources of heat such as radiators or any other heat-producing appliances.
- Do not let the remote control fall, do not bump or shake it.
- This remote control has been designed for private use only.
PRESENTS A RISK FOR CHILDREN
- The batteries can present the risk of death if swallowed. Please keep the batteries and the remote control out of the reach of young children.
- If a battery has been swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
- The remote control is not a toy and must not under any circumstances be given to young children.
- Keep the packaging out of the reach of children. It presents a suffocation risk!
PRECAUTIONS RELATED TO THE USE OF BATTERIES
- In the event of oxidization or the leakage of acid, avoid contact with the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, immediately rinse the affected area abundantly with fresh water and consult a doctor immediately.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control when they are depleted or if they will not be in use for a long period of time. This will help to prevent damage due to leakage.
- Do not expose the batteries to extreme conditions such as placing them on top of radiators. This increases the risk of leakage!
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
The remote control operates with two AAA/I.R03 1.5V alkaline batteries are included in the package. Insert them, ensuring the conect polarity as illustrated in the diagram.
DO NOT use rechargeable batteries
BATTERY TEST:
Hold down one of the number keys, for example, the 15], and check that the
light stays on continuously until the key is released. If the light flashes or
stays off, this means thal the used batteries ere depleted and need to be
replaced by new ones.
BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS
The functions for the buttons on the essential b remote control are only available IT the 1V is suitably equipped. Some of the functions are not always found directly on the essential b keypad.
To identify them, visit the www.cme.it/boulanger site and select RCLG21-1 > BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS follow the instructions on the screen until you see the table explaining the Barrons on the original remote control and how they correspond to the essential b remote control.
We have compiled the www.cme.it/boulanger website where you can refer to the full instructions in order to get or directly enter a code, view a table explaining corresponding buttons according to your specific TV model, or watch video tutorials to facilitate the use of your remote control.
WARNING
Several malfunctions are caused by the use of batteries that ere insufficiently charged. We recommend thal the batteries be checked and replaced as described in the INSERTING TliE BATTERIES section. Even if you think they ere new, every pack has an expiry dale. Even IT they haven’t been used, batteries lose power over the course of their lifetime, and at different rates depending on how they have been stored.

IF THE REMOTE CONIBOL IS NEW AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT WORK
Ensure that you have followed these instructions closely; IT need be, re-read the information in the sections above, or contact CUSTOMER SERVICE. -
IF THE REMOTE CONTROL IS NO LONGER CONTROLLING THE DEVICE
Unplug the TV and leave rr disconnected for a few minutes; then plug rr back in. Remove the batteries from the remote control, press the ON/OFF bLJrron again o and insert fresh, NEW batteries. Also ensure that the remote control is pointing at the TY, without anything blocking the path. necessary, you may need to RESET TliE REMOTE CONTROL. (see full instructions on www.cme.it/boulanger. -
IF TliE REMOTE CONTROL IS NOT INTERACTING WITH TliE 1V PROPERLY
Some of the original remote control bLJrrons are not always found directly on the essential b keypad. To activate them, follow the steps described in the KEYS AND FUNCTIONS section or refer to the FULL MANUAL that can be found on the www.cme.it/boulanger website. -
HOW TO CHECK WHETHER THE REMOTE CONTROL IS EMITTING INFRARED SIGNALS
The human eye is unable to detect infrared. Use a camera (but take care to use the same as that of a smartphone! Some do not allow detection in normal photo mode, therefore switch to front-facing camera mode, or change to a smartphone using a different OS). Frame the 1t1fraredemitting transparent LED on the front of the remote control with the lens and press and hold down a number key, for example, the 15] on the remote control. r you see the LED switch on on the digital device control screen with bright white/blue or pink flashes, this means that the remote is working and is successfully emitting an infrared signal.
