CALLIOPE-V30 Electronic Modules

Getting started!

Attach the battery holder to the Calliope mini.

Get to know the Calliope mini.
Follow the symbols on the LED matrix: first press the buttons and complete the process with a shake. Open calliope.cc in your browser and get started! With the editors or the app you can program the Calliope mini.

Transfer the programs you create to the Calliope mini – and your ideas become reality!

Bluetooth pairing

Unpack, connect the battery holder and get started.
The individual default programs (1- 4) can be selected with button A and B.
The overview shows the main components and controls of the Calliope mini.
The Calliope mini app can be used to program on iOS or Android.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please retain this information for future reference.

  • The USB port must only be connected to a computer.

  • Always disconnect the computer when not in use.

  • The Calliope mini should never be operated simuttaneously with USB and battery!

  • In battery mode the Calliope mini may only be operated with the original battery compartment and batteries of type AAA or LROS.

  • The vottage applied to the Calliope mini battery connector must never exceed 3.3 volts.

  • The Calliope mini should only be used under adult supervision.

  • The external motor support may only be operated with a 9V battery (or 6LR61).

  • Qperation with rechargeable batteries is not permitted.

  • The Calliope mini should be operated in a well ventilated environment and, if used inside a case, the case should not be covered.

  • The connection of incompatible devices to the pins may affect compliance or result in damage to the unit and invalidate the warranty.

  • Information on connecting external electronic components:
    5 mA maximum per connection
    15 mA maximum load (all connections together)
    150 mA maximum when connected to edge contacts (+/-), supply of max. 3.3V

  • Please use a resistor with at least 2200 when connecting an LED.

  • To avoid malfunction or damage to your Calliope mini please observe the following:

Do not expose it to water, moisture or place on a conductive surface whilst In operation,
Do not expose it to heat from any source; the Calliope mini is designed for retiable operation at normal ambient room temperatures.
Take care whilst handling to avoid mechanical or electrical damage to the printed circuit board and connectors.
This product should be placed on a stable, flat, non-conductive surface in use and should not be contacted by conductive items.
Avoid handling the printed circuit board while it is powered. Only handle by the edges to minimise the risk of electrostatic discharge damage.
