TORQUE SETTING
Example of Setting 96ft-lb on a 10~150 ft-lb 1/2″ Drive Click Torque Wrench
- Locate the lock nut on the bottom of the handle. Turning it counter-clockwise will enable the knurled handle to turn for the torque setting.
- Locate the lock nut on the bottom of the handle. Turning it counter-clockwise will enable the knurled handle to turn for the torque setting.
- Keep turning the black knurled handle to set the micrometre handle at 6 lbs corresponding position on the handle.
- Turn the lock nut clockwise to the lock setting handle to finish the setup.
OPERATION
- Install a proper-sized socket or attachment onto the square drive.
- Apply steady force during the tightening process until hearing the “click”.
- Once hear the “click”, stop applying the force and the wrench will set itself ready for the next use for the same torque setting.
MAINTENANCE
- Store this torque wrench inside the storage box in a dry and clean environment.
- DO NOT use any cleaner or fluid to clean it. A dry cleaning cloth is recommended.
- When not in use, always keep torque at the lowest setting. BELOW the lowest setting can also damage it.
- If this torque wrench is not in use for a long time, use it on non-critical parts with a low setting to let it self-lubricate.
IMPORTANT
- ONE DIRECTION : This torque wrench only measures torque when tightening screws/nuts (clockwise rotation).
- STORE AT ZERO: When not in use, always keep torque at the lowest setting. BELOW the lowest setting can also damage it.
- FEEL THE CLICK: Choose a torque wrench with proper range, and “click” at a low torque setting will be subtle.
- OPERATE SLOWLY : This torque wrench will “click” when reaching the torque setting, but it will not stop applying force by itself.
- PRACTICE FIRST : Be sure to try this torque wrench on non-critical fasteners to learn the mechanism before using it.
