Product Troubleshooting
If water comes out from the Iron soleplate instead of steam:
- Possible Cause: The correct temperature was not reached.
- Solution: Check that the indicator light is constant blue, indicating that Polti La Vaporella has reached the correct temperature. Release steam onto a cloth until steam comes out from the holes on the soleplate.
If steam does not come out from the Iron soleplate:
Possible Causes:
- No power/dial set on the SILK program (only for model XT90C)
- No power/dial set on program (only for model XT90C) Water tank is empty
Solutions:
- Ensure that the appliance is connected to the power supply and that the dial is set on another program other than SILK (for model XT90C).
- Fill the tank as described in section 10.
If little steam comes from the Iron soleplate:
Possible Cause: The steam is dry, so it is barely visible, but it is present and effective, especially in particular environmental conditions.
If the appliance does not turn on:
- Possible Cause: No power.
- Solution: Turn the dial to the desired program. Check that the appliance has been connected to the mains, as indicated in section 1.
If the water tank is full, but steam doesn’t come out:
- Possible Cause: The iron has not reset the water level.
- Solution: Keep the steam button pressed down for at least on second, as described in section 10.
If some water drops are present on the fabric:
Possible Cause: The ironing board cover is saturated with water as it is
not suited to the power of an iron with a high-pressure boiler.
Solution: Check that the board is suitable (board with a grille that
prevents condensation).
If the automatic shut-down does not work after 10 minutes of non-use:
Possible Cause: The STEAM PULSE function or TURBO function is
operational.
Solution: Deactivate the STEAM PULSE and TURBO functions. If the problems
persist, please contact an Authorized Polti Service Centre or Customer
Services.
