How to find the best-suited level for each training mode?
The training remote has 18 stimulation levels of static shock & 8 levels of
vibration. Always start at the lowest levels and work your way up.
You can also feel the stimulation on your wrist to have a better understanding
of which level is best suited for your dog in each training mode.
This step is called; “The Recognition Level” A slight change in your dog’s
behavior- Such as a sharp move ‘looking around’ or scratching the collar or
flicking ears indicates the recognition level which is best suited for your
dog.
Follow these steps to find your dog’s Recognition Level:
- Start at the lowest level (1,2,3) Press the shock/vibration button continuously for 1-2 sec’. Note: The training buttons deliver stimulation for exactly 10 sec’. If needed further stimulation, Re-press the desired button.
- If there is no reaction on a specific level; Repeat the stimulation level several times before moving up to the next level.
- In no case, your dog should panic or yelp when receiving stimulation! If such a thing happens- You are way above the recognition level and you must go to a lower setting.
- Going up the levels must be done gradually, Your dog’s reaction must be just as someone else will tickle you in the neck. Correcting your dog’s behavior must be gentle but strong enough to turn his attention to you. Even while off-leash!
- If you see no reaction from your dog while using the e-collar on a higher level; You will want to double-check the placement and fitting on the dog’s neck, If your dog has long fur – Use the longer contact points. Then go over the Recognition level process again.
Note: If your dog is not responding to any of the training modes-
