Installation and Operation

Installation
Propane is a combustible gas heavier than air that accumulates in the lower parts of the home. The GasDoc GS2001 Propone Monitor should be installed where gas accumulates, such as next to a stove, water henter, furnace or oven. Mount your detector around 4° 12 inches (10-30 centimeters) away from the floor to ensure the earliest opportunity to detect a leak. If there are several potential gas leak areas, we recommend installing one for each area. Refer to Figures 1 and 2.

Regarding the installation location, the following locations are not recommended:

  1. Locations that have an odor.
  2. Vaporous places.
  3. On outside walls.
  4. Within 12 inches (30 centimeters) of doors, windows, vents, vacuuming fon (exhaust fan, etc.).
  5. Locations with dirt and dust that may block the detector.
  6. Locations behind furniture, drapes or large items that will block air movement.
  7. In a location with wiring controlled by a wall switch or a ground fault protector.
  8. Other drafty areas that aren’t mentioned above.

The device must be powered from the RV’s 12V DC power system and connected to a properly fused circuit.GASDOC-GS2001-Propane-Gas-Detector-
