Whirlpool XHPC155MBK 15.5 Inch Premium Laundry Pedestal
Pedestal Installation
Follow instructions below to assist in attaching all four (4) fasteners to
install 15.5″ Pedestal to Washer or Dryer.
Excessive Weight Hazard
Use two or more people to move and install washer.
Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
Tools needed:
- Drill Machine with 3/16″ drill bit.
- 1/4″ hex-head ratchet or 5/16″ open ended wrench.
Rework Procedure:

Empty the Pedestal Drawer.

Remove the Pedestal Drawer as per Installation Instruction document (Refer Below Image).
Remove pedestal drawer
A. Drawer slide
B. Hex-head screw

Remove any dispenser or bulk dispenser before laying the unit down to help prevent/minimize spillage.

Tilt the Wash Unit with Pedestal assembly gently on one side and lay it down as shown in the below images.
DO NOT LAY DOWN WASHER AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE
LAY DOWN WASHER AS SHOWN IN THE ABOVE IMAGE

Check if the Front or Rear Screw used to mount the Pedestal to Wash Unit Model Base are missing.
A. Screw on Rear side
B. Screw on Front side

Check if Pedestal is fixed to Wash Unit Model Base with 2 screw #12-3/4 as instructed in the Installation Instruction.

Make sure the Pedestal is moved towards the front of the Washer and aligned to Washer Front.

Make sure a small portion of other 2 base holes (Pilot Hole) are seen through the slot of Pedestal.
A. Washer
B. Pedestal
C. Base Hole (Pilot Hole)

Use 3/16″ drill bit to drill a hole into Pedestal only considering the pilot hole as guide hole for drill.

Fix 2 screw #12-3/4 into the drilled hole to fix Pedestal to Wash Unit Model Base completely with all 4 screws.

Make the Washer Unit with Pedestal assembly in an upright position.

Ensure all 4 screws are tight after keeping the Washer-Pedestal assembly in an upright/standing position.

Install the Pedestal Drawer.
