SMART CUPPING DEVICE
USER MANUAL
Relievacup Smart Cupping Device
HELLO THERE.
Joel and I are athletes who suffered from severe ACL injuries a few months
apart. We purchased multiple pieces of wellness equipment for our in-home
rehab but were left disappointed and frustrated by wellness and recovery
devices that made big promises but gave no support, no well-thought-out plan
to follow, and no results. And that’s how Lifepro came about, and why the
Wellness Recovery collection was created — we’ve set out to change all of
that. It’s why every piece of equipment bearing our name not only undergoes
rigorous scrutiny to make sure it delivers on power and efficacy but comes
with built-in support from our ‘guiding angels’ and a built-in lifetime
warranty so that you’re never left hanging.
Welcome to Lifepro.
We’re in this together now.
Chiropractors, acupuncturists, and physical therapists use the ancient
tradition of cupping therapy to help patients recover from a muscle injury,
decrease pain, and improve relaxation.
Today, electronic suction cupping provides the same benefits and more.
Red light therapy also accomplishes these goals. Red light wavelengths are
absorbed by the skin at a high rate, making it especially effective for
improving blood circulation, reducing inflammation, and helping cells make
additional energy to repair themselves.
The Lifepro RelievaCup Smart Cupping Device can help you experience
therapeutic benefits safely from the comfort of your own home—no need for
expensive trips to the chiropractor
or massage therapist. The RelievaCup combines cupping, red light, massage, and
heat therapies for maximum wellness and recovery. Customize your treatment
session with three levels of heat and massage and three unique suction modes:
continuous suction and two dynamic suction options.
Use the RelievaCup once or twice a week for 10-20 minutes. Its small size
makes it perfect to take with you on the go. Enjoy performance recovery and
pain relief anytime, anywhere!
Redefine wellness and experience the transformative power of the Lifepro Relieva Cup:
- Recover from injury: breaks down scar tissue, boosts circulation, and stimulates cells to regenerate.
- Alleviate pain: reduces muscle and joint pain.
- Boost mood: reduces stress and increases relaxation.
Check out the information in this manual for ways to get started using the RelievaCup. Next, be sure to visit our website relievacup.lifeprofitness.com for access to our FREE library of videos which demonstrate how to easily incorporate the AllevaRed into your health and wellness routine.

PARTS OF THE RELIEVACUP
TESTING FOR SKIN SENSITIVITY
Before your first treatment, it is important to perform a skin sensitivity
test to ensure you won’t experience any adverse reactions to light therapy.
To do a sensitivity test:
- Press and hold the On/Off button for 3 seconds to turn on the RelievaCup.
- Hold the cup to your inner arm, with the edge of the cup about ½ inch away from your skin. Do not press the cup to the skin. You are only testing red light sensitivity.
- The set working time is 20 minutes. Allow the device to operate for 5 minutes, then press and hold the On/Off button for 3 seconds to stop the test and turn off the device.
- If your skin feels uncomfortable or hot at any point during the test treatment, stop using the RelievaCup immediately.
- Wait at least 6 hours after the sensitivity test. If your skin becomes red and/or itchy, you may be sensitive to light therapy, and you should not continue to use the RelievaCup.
NOTE: See a list of contraindications (people who should not use this device) on page 18.
EASY-START SETUP GUIDE
1. CHARGING THE RELIEVACUP
- Plug the charging cable into the charging jack on the RelievaCup.
- Plug the charging cable into a USB outlet or a standard mobile phone charging adapter. The indicator LEDs will flash to indicate the device is charging.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS CUPPING THERAPY?
Cupping therapy has been practiced in Eastern medicine for thousands of years. Traditionally, the practitioner heated a cup and placed it on the body. When the cup cooled, it created suction, causing blood to flow to the raised skin’s surface. This action breaks tiny blood vessels, activating the natural healing process. Today, electronic suction provides the same benefits and more. With dynamic suction, or alternating between suction and release, you can release myofascial tension to increase mobility, relieve pain, and release stress.
WHAT IS RED LIGHT THERAPY?
Red light therapy (RLT), also called phototherapy uses low-wavelength red light to treat at the surface and below the surface of the skin. Red light is absorbed by the body's cells, particularly the mitochondria, which use red light to make energy, which stimulates cell regeneration and repair. Red light therapy is a highly-effective, non-invasive, chemical-free therapy that can be used to safely and painlessly heal and rejuvenate many parts of the body.
WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS OF CUPPING AND RED LIGHT THERAPY?
The benefits of cupping therapy and red light therapy are very similar, though cupping not only brings blood to the area but also breaks blood vessels, eliciting an inflammatory and then an anti-inflammatory response. The benefits of cupping and red light therapy include: • Increased blood flow. • Improved muscular healing and recovery. • Energized lymphatic system, aiding in detoxification and boosting the immune system. • Reduced myofascial tightness and binding. • Decreased pain and muscle stiffness. • Reduced stress.
WHAT ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF CUPPING AND RED LIGHT THERAPY?
Although generally safe for most people, there are some possible side effects. You could experience: • Mild discomfort from either therapy. • Red-light sensitivity. Always test first and use the lowest level settings for just a short time initially. • Bruising from cupping. This is normal and can last up to 10 days. Always start with the lowest level settings and for just a short time initially to see how your body reacts. Do not use cupping therapy again in the same treatment area until the bruises are gone.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DYNAMIC CUPPING AND SLIDE CUPPING THERAPY?
Dynamic cupping uses alternating suction and release. The cup is left in one position. With slide cupping, the cup has continuous suction but is slid slowly along the skin, usually in the direction of the muscle fibers. This is especially good for muscular and fascial tightness. It is best done with oil and may require another person. The RelievaCup can be used for both dynamic and slide cupping therapy.
