How to Use Your Electric Espresso Maker
- Fill the boiler with water up to the recommended level.

- Do not clean coffeemaker with cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive material.
- Never stir inside of the pitcher with a spoon or other utensils.
- This machine has been manufactured to “make coffee.” Never use other extracts, cocoa pow-der, chamomile, other infusions or soluble substances; these may block the holes in the filter.
- This is an electrical appliance. Therefore, during cleaning, never immerse the base or the boiler in water.
- Be careful to avoid being scalded by spraying water, steam, or due to the improper use of the appliance.
- The appliance must work only connected to a power outlet, never use directly on stovetop burner.
- Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
- Fill the boiler with water before placing the coffeemaker on the support base.
- Do not let the power cord come in contact with the metallic parts of the coffeemaker when in operation.

THIS PRODUCT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit correctly into the out-let, flip it. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature by modifying the plug in any way.
EXTENSION CORD USE
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled or tripping over a longer cord.
The use of an extension cord is not recommended. However, longer extension
cords may be used if care is exercised.
- If an extension cord is used,
- The leveled electrical rating of the cord set, or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user serviceable parts inside.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual. Caution: Tear up all plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children.
- Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
- Before using your new appliance, wipe the body of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- Wash all the removable parts with warm sudsy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Place appliance on a flat stable surface.
Caution : Because some countertop finishes are more sensitive than others, use care not to place espresso maker on surfaces where heat may cause damage.
- Make sure switch is in the OFF position (0).
- Check that the coffeemaker is not hot and unscrew it by holding the boiler with one hand and turning the pitcher counterclockwise with the other.
- Remove funnel and fill the boiler with fresh water until reaching the safety valve (visible inside the boiler) without filling past it.
Note: Do not use the coffeemaker without water in the boiler. Also do not put hot water in the boiler for faster operation.
- Insert the funnel in the boiler.
- Tighten the coffeemaker securely. Hold the boiler with one hand and turn the pitcher clockwise with the other hand, without pushing on the handle.
- Place the coffeemaker on the base. Close the lid.
- Plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
- Press the switch ON (I). The light will indicate that the coffeemaker is on.
Caution : Do not open the lid to the pitcher during the brewing process as scalding may occur.
- Brew the water through the appliance without adding coffee grounds. This removes any dust or residue that may remain in the system from the manufacturing process.
- The water will start to be released after a few minutes.
- When brewing stops, press the switch OFF (0).
- Unplug unit and allow the coffeemaker to cool.
HOW TO USE YOUR ELECTRIC ESPRESSO MAKER
- Make sure switch is in the OFF position (0).
- Check that the coffeemaker is not hot and unscrew it by holding the boiler with one hand and turning the pitcher counterclockwise with the other.
- To prepare 6 cups of Coffee, remove funnel and fill the boiler with fresh water until reaching the safety valve (visible inside the boiler) without filling past it. Insert the funnel in the boiler and fill the funnel with ground coffee without compressing it.
- To brew 3 Cups of coffee, fill the boiler with water to around ¼ inch below the safety valve. Insert the adapter in the funnel and fill the funnel with ground coffee without compressing it.
Note: Do not use the coffeemaker without water in the boiler. Also do not put hot water in the boiler for faster operation.
- Distribute the ground coffee uniformly and remove any excess coffee from the edge of the filter. Note: Use good quality, medium ground coffee.
- Tighten the coffeemaker securely. Hold the boiler with one hand and turn the pitcher clockwise with the other, without pushing on the handle.
- Place the coffeemaker on the base. Close the lid.
- Plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
- Press the switch ON (I). The light will indicate that the coffeemaker is on.
Caution: Do not open the lid to the water reservoir during the brewing process as scalding may occur.
- The coffee will start to be released after a few minutes.
- When brewing stops, press the switch OFF (0).
- Unplug unit and allow the coffeemaker to cool.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts.
- Unplug the cord and wait for the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
- After each use, the pitcher, boiler, funnel and adapter, should be emptied and rinsed thoroughly with warm water. Make sure to completely dry the boiler and store it unassembled to avoid any moisture build up inside the boiler. Take care not to wet the electrical parts. Never rinse the boiler or base directly under the tap water and never immerse it in water.
Note: Make sure all the parts are properly installed before each use.
- Clean inside of the central tube periodically.
- Regularly check the gasket. Replace if there are signs of wear or deterioration. Use original spare parts only.
- Every so often, check for any blockage on the disk filter. Blockages may be removed by using a pin or needle as illustrated below.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- The appliance and its parts are NOT dishwasher safe.
- Do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads to clean the appliance.
- Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the appliance.
Decalcifying
The frequency of cleaning depends on the hardness of the water used. The
following table gives the suggested cleaning intervals:
Mineral deposits left by hard water can clog your appliance.
- Make sure switch is in the OFF position (0).
- Fill the boiler with white cooking vinegar until reaching the safety valve (visible inside the boiler) without filling past it.
- Insert the funnel in the boiler.
- Tighten the coffeemaker securely. Hold the boiler with one hand and turn the pitcher clockwise with the other, without pushing on the handle.
- Place the coffeemaker on the base. Close the lid.
- Plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
- Press the switch ON (I). The light will indicate that the coffeemaker is on.
- Brew the cooking white vinegar through the appliance without adding coffee grounds.
Caution : Do not open the lid to the pitcher during the brewing process as scalding may occur.
- The vinegar will be released after a few minutes.
- Press the switch OFF (0) when the brewing process ends.
- Unplug unit and allow the coffeemaker to cool.
- Repeat the steps above using cold water to rinse away any traces of vinegar. It is recommended to repeat this cold-water cycle twice.
- Wash the coffeemaker as instructed in the CARE AND CLEANING section.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
- Always allow the appliance to completely cool before storing.
- Wind the electrical cord into a coil and secure with a twist fastener.
- Store your appliance in a dry location, such as on a tabletop, countertop, or on a cupboard shelf.
- Other than recommended cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.
