INSTRUCTION

General info

• This wallpaper is sold by the meter and is cut to your desired length; therefore it is a bespoke and non-returnable item.
• No claims for faulty wallpaper can be made once the wallpaper has been cut for application to walls; please check your order as soon as it arrives.
• All intellectual property rights in designs are owned by Beata Heuman Limited.

Hanging advice and instructions

• We advise to use an experienced wallpaper hanger/installer.
• Always check quantities with your installer before purchase and installation.
• You will need:
  • Plenty of floor space
  • A wide wallpapering bench (or two standard benches together)
  • Sharp blades and a straight edge for trimming
  • A measuring tape
  • A good quality pre-mixed adhesive for heavy paper.
• Walls should always be prepared, smooth, sealed, and cross-lined before installation. A good installer should recommend a suitable lining paper.
• Taking the pattern repeat into account, measure and cut the wallpaper to wall height allowing excess at the top and bottom.
• Trim off the selvage using a straight edge and sharp blade, cutting the paper to its full usable width.
• Apply adhesive to lined walls.
• Place the paper onto the wall, brushing out any bubbles.
• Cut off any excess at the top and bottom.
• For subsequent drops, ensure the pieces are cut at the same point in the design as your previous drop for the pattern to match horizontally.
• When hanging, match the pattern at eye level, and use a spirit level and faint pencil line to ensure the paper is vertical.
• To ensure adjacent edges meet neatly, place the paper approximately 2cm over the first pasted edge so that the design overlaps, then cut through the center of the two overlapped pieces of paper and carefully peel off the excess on both sides to reveal perfectly met edges. Apply pressure to ensure good contact with the wall and apply extra paste if necessary.
