Product Information

Specifications

  • The Integ R series DuoCOM module supports both WiFi and LAN connection for remote and local communication.
  • It is compatible with Hybrid inverter software version 01 (18) and above, and Grid-connected PV inverter software version 00 (05) and above.

Product Usage Instructions

Product Description

  • The DuoCOM module can be used for WiFi or LAN communication alone or connected both at the same time.
  • When connected simultaneously, the module will automatically switch to another communication method after 5 minutes if the current method fails.

Remote Server Communication

  • If WiFi and LAN are connected, LAN communication will be prioritized. To switch to WiFi, unplug the network cable, restart DuoCOM, or wait for 5 minutes.

Local Configuration App Communication

  • If WiFi communication is configured and LAN is reconnected, WiFi communication will still be used. To change the method, restart DuoCOM.

Product Appearance

  • The DuoCOM module features an indicator button for the device control.

Indicator and Button

  • Press 1 second: Resets the device – the indicator goes off for 2 seconds then flashes normally.
  • Press 5 seconds: Restores factory default settings – the indicator goes off for 2 seconds then flashes once every 2 seconds until the restore is complete.
  • OFF: Connection abnormal
  • Slowly flashing: DuoCOM is not connected to the router
  • Quickly flashing: DuoCOM connected to the router but not the server
  • Always on DuoCOM normally working

Configuration Install The Network Cable

To install the network cable, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the Plastic Nut and Sealing Ring.
  2. Pass the network cable plug through the Plastic Nut and Sealing Ring in the direction as shown.
  3. Fully embed the Sealing Ring into the Plastic Nut.
  4. Connect the RJ45 Plug to the Ethernet Port(inside) and tighten the Plastic Nut.
  5. Connect the DuoCOM to the COM1 port.

Note:

  • The network cable should be circular or oval with a diameter between 5.5mm and 6.5mm for proper sealing.
  • To remove the network cable, unscrew the plastic case and sealing ring, then press and pull out the cable using a one-piece screwdriver as shown.

FAQ

Q: How do I know if my DuoCOM is malfunctioning?

A: If the indicator has been off for more than 5 minutes, it may indicate a malfunction in the device.

  • If WiFi communication has been configured and used individually beforehand, and you connect to the LAN again, WiFi communication will still be used at this time. If you need to change the communication method, restart DuoCOM.

Configuration

Install The Network Cable

  • Step 1: Remove the “Plastic Nut” and “Sealing Ring” in turn.
  • Step 2: Pass the network cable plug through the“Plastic Nut” and “Sealing Ring” (with opening) in the direction as shown in Figure 2-1.
  • Step 3: Fully embed the “Sealing Ring” into the“Plastic Nut”.
  • Step 4: Connect the “RJ45 Plug” to the Ethernet Port(inside) and tighten the Plastic Nut” for better waterproofing.
  • Step 5: Connect the “DuoCOM” to the “COM1” as shown in Figure 2-2.
  • Due to limited space, only the RJ45 plug without a protective cap can be used.
  • The network cable is required to be circular or oval, and the diameter of the network cable needs to be greater than 5.5mm and less than 6.5mm to be properly sealed.
  • If you want to remove the network cable, unscrew the plastic case and sealing ring, and use a one-piece screwdriver to press in the way shown below, then pull out the cable.SOLINTEG-Integ-Series-DuoCOM-Module-FIG-8

2.2 LAN Configuration

If DHCP is enabled on the router, DuoCOM does not need to be configured. Otherwise, the DuoCOM will need to be configured on the inverter screen.

  1. Find the “General Settings” by short pressing the button on the invert-er screen.
  2. Enter the “General Settings” by long pressing the button on the invert-er screen.
  3. Find “DHCP set” by short-pressing the button, then turn off the DHCP function by short-pressing and long-pressing the button on the inverter screen.
  4. Then set the “IP Address”, “Gateway Address”, “Subnet Mask” and “DNS Address”. Short press to change the number, long press to confirm the number, and jump to the next number.SOLINTEG-Integ-Series-DuoCOM-Module-FIG-9

NOTE Wireless operating frequency is only supported from 2.412-2.484 GHz.

Local configuration App

  • DuoCOM also supports locally configured App.
  • Local configuration App is designed for quick configuration of hybrid inverters, offering features such as safety code, battery brand and type, work modes, and off-grid application settings through WiFi direct connection, etc.

  • The smartphone connects WIFI monitoring device directly.
  • The smartphone and the monitoring device are connected to the router together.

Connection steps

  1. a. Refer to “WiFi module configuration guide step 1~2” to connect the smartphone to the WiFi module. If it is connected, skip this step.
    • b. Refer to the “ WiFi module configuration guide” or “LAN module configuration guide” to connect the DuoCOM to the router.
    • Then connect a smartphone to the same router. If it is connected, skip this step.
  2. Open “Setup APP and tap“Scan a list of inverter WiFi-AP names that pop up.
  3. Click and select the inverter WiFi-AP which you want to connect.
  4. Select the login role.
  5. Input the password(123456) and tap“Login In”.
