SLENERGY iShare-Home Mini Smart Solar System Instruction Manual

Purpose

The primary purpose of this warranty is to clearly define the matters related to warranty policy of iShare-Home Mini Smart Solar System.

Limited Warranty for Standard Module

Only applicable to the following module type: SL-108PA-405R,SL-108NA-425R
Slenergy photovoltaic module has 12-years process quality guarantee, P-type single glass PV modules have a 25-years power performance guarantee, N-type single and double glass PV modules have a 30-years power performance guarantee, as specified below.

Warranty Start Date

The start date of warranty period: (1) from the date of sales to the customer of the first installation (self-use) with a certifiable invoice (‘sales date’), or (2) from 6 months after the shipment of the factory, whichever is the earlier (‘start date of the warranty period’).

Limited Product Quality Assurance – Limited Remedies

Output ratio guarantee of rated power: for P-type high-efficiency monocrystalline single glass photovoltaic module, the actual average power output in the first year shall not be less than 98% of the rated power on the nameplate, and the maximum average power attenuation rate shall not exceed 0.55% every year from the second year to the 25th year, until the 25th year after the beginning of the warranty period ends with a proportion of 84.8%.
For N-type high-efficiency monocrystalline single and double glass photovoltaic module, the actual average power output in the first year shall not be less than 99% of the rated power on the nameplate, and the maximum average power attenuation rate shall not exceed 0.40% every year from the second year to the 30th year, until the 30th year after the beginning of the warranty period ends with a proportion of 87.4%.

Slenergy ensures that each module is free from quality defects in material or workmanship, so the module will not fail to meet the above guaranteed rated output power specified in Slenergy product specification. If, according to the self- judgment of Slenergy, the failure of the solar photovoltaic module to provide the guaranteed rated power output ratio is caused by the quality defects of materials and workmanship, Then Slenergy can choose (1) replacement compensation: either (a) provide additional solar photovoltaic modules to customers to compensate for power loss, or (b) replace defective solar photovoltaic modules or parts with solar photovoltaic modules or parts with the same function to compensate for this part of power loss, or (2) Refund the cost of solar photovoltaic modules (calculated according to the current pricing of similar solar photovoltaic modules) to the customer in the same proportion as the difference ratio of less than the guaranteed rated output power. The compensation specified in this article 2.2 shall be the only and exclusive compensation for the “limited peak power quality assurance”. The rated output power in the product specification is the maximum power point generated by the solar photovoltaic module under the standard test conditions (STC), in watts. The standard test conditions are: (a) the spectrum is AM 1.5, (b) the radiation intensity is 1000 watts per square meter, And (c) the battery temperature under right angle radiation is 25°C. The measurement shall be carried out at the connector or junction box terminal according to IEC 61215 and, if feasible, according to the valid production date and time calibration and test standards of Slenergy in photovoltaic modules.

Exclusions and Restrictions

  • In any case, all warranty claims must be received within the warranty
  • “Limited product quality assurance” and “limited peak power quality assurance” do not apply to solar PV modules under the following circumstances:
    • Misuse, abuse, negligence or accident;
    • Change, improper installation or application;
    • Without the approval of Slenergy, it is applied in extreme environment (such as extremely hot, extremely wet, ), high-density dust environment, environment affected by chemical products, or the application environment changes rapidly, resulting in product corrosion, oxidation, etc.;
    • Repair or adjustment by people other than service technicians approved by Slenergy energy;
    • Surge of power failure, lightning, flood, fire, accidental damage or other events beyond the control of Slenergy;
  • “Limited product quality assurance” and “limited peak power quality assurance” do not include any costs related to the installation, removal or reinstallation of solar photovoltaic modules, as well as (unless expressly specified in the last paragraph of Article 4) tariff fees, licensing fees or any other costs related to the return of solar photovoltaic
  • If the type number and serial number of solar photovoltaic modules are changed, removed or difficult to identify, warranty claims will not be
  • “Limited product quality assurance” and “limited peak power quality assurance” shall not apply to solar photovoltaic modules below “class A” standard.

Application Scope of Warranty

Unless Slenergy expressly agrees, signs and acknowledges other obligations and responsibilities in writing, The “limited warranty for solar PV modules” specified herein expressly supersedes and excludes all other express or implied warranties (including but not limited to commercial guarantee, guarantee applicable to special purpose, purpose or application), and other obligations or liabilities of Slenergy. Slenergy shall not be liable for personal injury or property damage, nor for any cause caused by or related to solar PV modules (including but not limited to any defect of solar photovoltaic modules, any defect arising from use and installation) shall be liable for other losses or injuries. Under no such circumstances shall Slenergy be liable for incidental, indirect or special losses caused by any reason. Slenergy shall not be liable for any loss of utility, production, income and profit If Slenergy bears damage or other liabilities to the customer, its cumulative liability shall not exceed the invoice value of a single solar photovoltaic module paid by the customer.

Implementation of Quality Assurance

If the customer has reasonable reasons to make a claim under this “limited quality assurance of photovoltaic modules”, It shall immediately and directly notify (a) the installation company, or (b) the authorized distributor of Slenergy supplying the components, or (c) The notice shall be sent to Slenergy directly by registered mail or throug the email address: [email protected]. With the notice, the customer shall indicate its name and address, the name and address of the installer and authorized Slenergy distribution partner, evidence of claim indicating the quantity of affected components, the number and corresponding serial number of affected components, and the date of purchase of components. Relevant invoices with the signature and seal of Slenergy or authorized distributors shall include this requirement as part of the evidence. The area and address of Slenergy branch are listed at the end of the document. Without the prior written authorization of Slenergy, the return of any module will not be accepted.
According to the provisions of “limited product quality assurance” and “limited peak power quality assurance”, Slenergy shall compensate the customer for the customary, reasonable and recorded shipping freight for returning and re transporting or replacing products, but the freight must be approved by Slenergy customer service department.

Severability

If part of the terms or provisions of the “PV module limited warranty” or any individual or its application is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the validity of other parts, the “PV module limited warranty” of the terms, provisions or applications will not be affected. Therefore, other parts of this “limited quality assurance of photovoltaic modules” are deemed to be valid. Therefore, other parts, terms or applications of this “photovoltaic module limited quality assurance” shall be deemed to be severable.

Disputes

In case of disagreement on the warranty claim, domestic first-class testing institutions such as TÜV NORD, UL, CQC, and CGC can be invited to participate in the adjudication of the final claim. All costs shall be borne by the losing party, unless otherwise specified in the judgment. Slenergy reserves the right of final interpretation.

Other Provisions

The repair and replacement of solar photovoltaic modules or the supply of additional solar photovoltaic modules will not lead to the beginning of the new warranty period, and the original warranty period specified in the “limited warranty of photovoltaic modules” will not be extended. Any replaced solar photovoltaic modules are the assets of Slenergy energy and are at its sole disposal. If Slenergy has stopped producing the products to be replaced at the time of claim, it has the right to supply other types of products (different models, colors, shapes or power).

Transfer of Warranty

When Slenergy PV module products are still installed at the original installation site, the “limited warranty of PV module quality” can be transferred.

Force Majeure

For the event of force majeure, including but not limited to the non- performance or delay of the sales terms and agreements caused by acts of God, war, riots, strikes, war situations, plague or other infectious diseases, fires, floods, and any similar reasons or circumstances outside the control of Slenergy (including this “PV module limited warranty”), it shall not be liable to the customer or the third party in any way. Under such circumstances, Slenergy shall suspend the performance of this limited warranty and shall not be liable for the delay caused by such reasons during this period.

Customer Consultation/Complaints Handling

Marketing Department for the main communication with customers, contact window, including consulting, after-sales service, complaints and other aspects. The marketing department carries on the preliminary communication according to the customer’s consultation / complaint, needs to make the further explanation to the customer or needs the other department support, the marketing department records the information on the Customer Consultation / Customer Complaint Feedback Form, and feedback to the responsible department for processing. Each responsible person shall reply within two working days and complete the case within 30 working days. When the customer complaint involves the return and exchange of goods, claims and other situations, the marketing department in advance to communicate with the customer, and collect customer complaints related information, according to the information collected to organize the analysis of the cause of the problem is raw materials, process, transportation, client, etc. Organize the relevant departments to analyze and improve through the type of cause analysis. According to the result of analysis and discussion, feedback the product handling opinion (return, exchange, quality guarantee, amount compensation, refuse compensation) to the customer, and further communicate with the customer, and provide the analysis report to the customer if necessary. Among them, after confirming that the product failure is not the responsibility of the company, the above remedial plan will not be implemented, and the marketing department shall give feedback to the customer to clarify the reasons and conclusions. The return and exchange of products involving product quality issues shall be arranged by the production department. Slenergy Micro-Inverter SL-M Standard 10 Year Warranty Terms And

Conditions

Standard Warranty Period

Slenergy offers 10-year Warranty period for SL-M inverter series (the inverter model on table below). During the warranty period, Slenergy will be covering the hardware replacement costs of the inverter. Expenses and costs including but not limited to shipments to and from Slenergy factory, direct and indirect labor costs of inverter user, owner, installer, distributor or any third- party, on-site labor costs, taxes and duties, will not be covered by the Factory Warranty Period. And the warranty period is valid for adding 6 months from the date of shipment from Slenergy.
IMPORTANT: Please note, if you are a private end-user or purchaser who doesn’t have direct contract with Slenergy, please contact your installer or Distributor in the first instance in case of any warranty issue. Slenergy will work directly with the installer or Distributor to restore or replace the faulty unit according to the technical analysis and warranty terms. And if the original installation company close down, please contact a qualified installer to arrange an on-site inspection.

This warranty is applied to the following models:

SL-M SL-M600-C, SL-M800-C

Extension of Warranty Period

Up to 12 months following the installation date or 15 months from the date of shipment (whichever date comes first) from Slenergy factory, the purchaser may apply for a warranty extension by providing the serial number of the unit.
Slenergy may reject the application received which does not meet the date requirement.
Once the purchase of the warranty extension has been processed, Slenergy will send the warranty extension certificate to the customer confirming the extended warranty period.

Warranty Conditions

According to warranty terms of Slenergy, in case of device failure or damaged, please provide the following information or documents which will assist the service:

  • Claimant’s contact information, including but not limited to: address of installation, contact number,
  • All device models, serial numbers, and corresponding installation
  • Error messages/codes on the portal and additional information about the fault/error
  • Detailed information about the installation environment and PV system (location, PV modules, strings information, circuit connection, parameter settings, ).
  • Purchase invoice of the device, original warranty card, and where applicable, invoice of warranty
  • Where applicable, descriptions of previous maintenance records and actions (if any) .
  • FFR-RMA document (Template will be provided by Slenergy Service Center) .While a device fails under Slenergy warranty terms and conditions, the following solutions will be provided according to the actual situation:

If the device is replaced within the warranty period, the remaining warranty period will be automatically transferred to the replacement unit.
If the warranty’s remaining valid period is less than one year after the replacement, the warranty of the replacement unit will be registered as a full year warranty starting 30 days from the Slenergy factory or service center shipment date. Slenergy reserves the right to repair or replace faulty products with spare parts and repair parts. If the warranty service provided by Slenergy involves replacement of the product, the customer shall return the defective product to Slenergy through good transportation protection measures within three weeks after receiving the replacement product.
After Slenergy receives the faulty product, the ownership of the product is transferred to Slenergy, and the ownership of the replacement product is transferred to the customer. If the customer does not return the defective product within the above period, it is seemed to agree to purchase the replacement product at the market price.
During the warranty period, Slenergy provides customers with free warranty service. Other claims made by customers to Slenergy are not covered by the warranty.
When there is conflict between warranty terms and local laws, it subjects to local legal provisions.

Warranty Exception

Problems caused by the following circumstances are not covered by warranty terms of Slenergy

  • Failure or damage caused by use of parts which are non-standard and not coming from Slenergy
  • Expiration of warranty period;
  • Disassembly, repair or modified by non Slenergy authorized person;
  • Failure to observe the technical documents and manuals, and/or the protocols and/or requirements therein;
  • Failure to comply with safety regulations (VDE,IEC,etc.);
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Faults or damages due to unpredictable factors, man-made factors, or force majre events (e.g. flood, lighting, overvoltage, storm and fire );
  • The defect is caused during transportation;
  • Other faults or damages not caused by quality problems of Slenergy device (including non-integrated or related parts).

Service After Warranty Expiration

For devices which are out of warranty’s valid period, Slenergy may charge for on-site service fee, parts, labor cost and logistic fee which can be any/all of:

  • On-site attendance fee: Cost of travel and time for the technician in attending on-site
  • Parts: Cost of replacement parts (including any shipping and admin fee that may apply).
  • Labor: Labor cost charged for the technician by time, who is repairing, maintaining, installing (hardware or software). and debugging the faulty
  • Logistic fee: Cost of delivery and other derived expense when defective products are sent from end purchasers Slenergy and/or repaired products are sent from Slenergy to end purchasers.

Cable Warranty and Service Conditions

The service life of the wire meets the corresponding standard for 25 years. Slenergy will not be liable if:

Mounting Structure Warranty and Service Conditions

The warranty covers the following terms:
