HOW TO ASSEMBLE

Carefully unpack all parts of the steamer including those in the polystyrene packaging.

  1. The stainless steel pole consists of four sections. Fully extend and tighten all segments of the telescope pole by rotating the pole clockwise (Figure A). Always keep the pole at full height when steaming.

  2. Unfold the hanger and place it on the top of the telescopic pole.

  3. From the bottom of the pole, add the ironing board support fixture.
Ensure this is the correct way up according to the arrows (Figure C).

  4. To make sure the pole nut is in place, position the telescopic pole into the main body of the steamer and turn the pole nut clockwise until tightened.

  5. Unlock the supporting brackets on the ironing board and hang the ironing board onto the clothes hanger. Secure the ironing board to the ironing board support fixture ensuring the ironing board is taut.

  6. Install the steam hose with the steamer head by plugging the hose connector into the main unit and hanging the steamer head onto the head hanger.

FRIDJA-f1500-High-Pressure-Clothes-Steamer-FIG-8

CAUTION
Make sure that when you insert the steamer hose into the main unit you hear a click! Once you’ve heard a click, the steamer hose has been successfully inserted.

HOW TO OPERATE

  1. Ensure the power cord is disconnected from the power outlet.
  2. Unscrew the water tank’s valve cap and fill it with water. Screw the valve cap back in place and place the water tank onto the unit (it will not click). Never turn the steamer on with an empty tank.
  3. Plug the unit into a suitable power outlet and press the on button.
  4. The light will illuminate blue and the steamer will begin heating the water and build pressure.
  5. Please wait for 120 seconds or until the pressure is at 5 bars.
  6. In the meantime hang your clothes on the clothes hanger, or use your own clothes hanger in the clothes hanger slot.
  7. Once the f1500 is ready to use, take the steamer head out of the head hanger and with one hand hold the material taut. Using the steamer head on the other hand, press the steam trigger and soften the material by blasting steam at it.
  8. After applying some steam, use the steamer head without the steam to iron the material either by holding the material taut, or ironing against the ironing board. Glide the steamer head over the garment until the creases are removed.
  9. The steamer is in operational mode anywhere from 2 to 5 bars of pressure. If pressure dips to below 2, wait for the pressure to build up again. Please note it is not best practice to keep the steam trigger pressed, instead use short sharp bursts and follow through using the iron without steam.
  10. For collars and cuffs, do not forget to use the collar and cuff accessories.
  11. When you are finished, switch the f1500 off by pressing the on/off button.
Unplug the unit and turn off the power supply outlet switch.

Hang the steamer head on the head hanger when not in use. Never fold the hose. Never pull the hose with excessive force. The hose can be easily removed by pressing the button on the hose connector. Do not move the appliance by pulling the hose.

CAUTION
When using your f1500, it is not necessary or best practice to hold the steam trigger down continuously. Instead, use in short sharp bursts. Blast the area with creases and follow through using gliding the hot iron over the taut material. Doing this will keep the pressure of the steam high and ensure the creases disappear quickly.

ACCESSORIES

Delicate Material Guard Attachment

  • The delicate material guard ensures that your delicate materials do not touch the hot ironing plate. Use this on suits, delicate dresses, embroidered goods, and anything you consider delicate.
  • Attach the guard to the steamer head by sliding the attachment upwards.

Bristle Brush Attachment

  • The bristle brush can be used to refresh and remove lint from bedding, sofas and cushions.
  • The bristle brush can be great for use on wool too.
  • Attach the bristle brush to the steamer head by sliding the attachment upwards.

CAUTION
To avoid injury, do not fit attachments whilst the unit is operational or hot.

IRONING GLOVE

  • Use the ironing glove to aid fabric steaming.
  • Using the glove in the hand you are not holding the steamer head in.
  • Use the glove to make fabrics or garments taut. Taut materials lose their creases faster! Move the material in unison with the steamer head.

CAUTION
Exercise caution when using the hand mat to avoid scalding from steam.

FOLDING HANGER

  1. You can use the folding hanger to hang garments using the hanger or the clips.
  2. You can also use the clothes hanger slot to use your hanger.

COLLAR AND CUFF SUPPORT

  • Use the collar and cuff support to make decreasing collars and cuffs easy.
  • Place the collar support underneath the collar as shown here. After applying steam and iron to remove creases.

FRIDJA-f1500-High-Pressure-Clothes-Steamer-FIG-13

DESCALING MODE
We recommend you descale your steamer at least once every 2 months dependent on use. There is a button on the steamer head that switches the f1500 into descaling mode from steaming mode.
Use this to clean the steamer head of unwanted mineral deposits from hard water.

FRIDJA-f1500-High-Pressure-Clothes-Steamer-FIG-15

  1. Fill the water tank.

  2. Plug in the f1500 and turn the power switch on.

  3. Press the button on the back of the handle to activate descaling mode.
When the button is out, it is in descaling mode. When the button is in, the f1500 is in steaming mode/operation mode.

  4. Prepare an area for the built-up deposits to go, such as a sink or large bucket.

  5. When the steam pressure reaches 4 Bar or the steam indicator is on, press the steam trigger aiming into a sink or bucket.

  6. The cleaning process completes when there is no more built-up mineral water coming out from the steam head, it takes up to 4 or 5 minutes.

  7. Turn off the descaling mode at the handle. The f1500 will be ready to work after 1 minute.

CAUTION
Depending on the water you use, minerals and sediment may collect in the steamer and affect the free flow of steam. To reduce this, we recommend using demineralized or distilled water.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
