Product Usage Instructions

Mounting Instructions

  1. Find a clear area in which you can work.
  2. Unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
  3. Carefully review the instructions prior to assembly.
  4. Release the mounting plate (4) from the backplate (1) by removing screws (2).
  5. Secure the mounting plate (4) to the junction box (5) using screws (3) (not provided).
  6. Make wiring connections using IS-18 instructions (see next section).
  7. Secure the backplate (1) to the mounting plate (4) using the previously removed screws (2).
  8. Install the appropriate GU10 bulb (7) into the lamp fixture.
  9. Place the lens cover (9) and silicone gasket (12) (for top side only) onto the main fixture body (6).
  10. Use screws (11) and grommet (10) to lock them into place.
  11. Repeat the process for the other side of the fixture.
  12. Note : Orient the two weep slots toward the canopy/premise wall during installation to ensure proper water drainage.
  13. Caps will be marked as bottom cap or top cap by a sticker on the inside of the cap.

IS-18 Wiring and Grounding Instructions

SAFETY WARNING: READ WIRING AND GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS (IS 18) AND ANY ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS. TURN POWER SUPPLY OFF DURING INSTALLATION. IF NEW WIRING IS REQUIRED, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR CODE REQUIREMENTS.

Indoor Fixtures

  1. Connect the positive supply wire (A) (typically black or the smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to the positive fixture lead (B) with an appropriately sized twist-on connector – see Drawings 1 or 2.
  2. Connect the negative supply wire (C) (typically white or the ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to the negative fixture lead (D).
  3. Refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

Outdoor Fixtures

  1. Connect the positive supply wire (A) (typically black or the smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to the positive fixture lead (B) with an appropriately sized twist-on connector -vsee Drawings 2 or 3.
  2. Connect the negative supply wire (C) (typically white or theribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to the negative fixture lead (D).
  3. Cover the open end of connectors with silicone sealant to form a waterproof seal.

IS200 Caulking Instructions

After securing the fixture to the wall, it is recommended to seal the gap between the wall and the fixture backplate on the top and both sides with a good quality waterproof caulk or silicone sealant (not included) – see Drawing

  1. Use a caulking gun to apply a bead of caulk to seal the gap.

Assembly Instructions

Start here

  1. Find a clear area in which you can work.

  • Secure mounting plate (4) to junction box (5) using previously removed screws (2)
  • Lamp fixture with appropriate GU10 bulb (7)
  • Place lens cover (9) removing screws (2)screws (3)(Not provided)
  • Make wiring connections using IS -18 on the next page
  • Secure backplate (1) to mounting plate (4) using the and silicone gasket (12) (for top side only) onto the main fixture body (6) and use screws (11) and grommet (10) to lock into place
  • Repeat process for the other side of fixture

Note : orient the two weep slots toward the canopy/ premise wall at installation to ensure proper water drainage
Caps will be marked as bottom cap or top cap by a sticker on the inside of the cap

Caulking Instructions

After securing the fixture to the wall it is recommended that the gap between the wall and the fixture backplate be sealed on the top and both sides, with a good quality waterproof caulk or silicone sealant (NOT INCLUDED) – see Drawing

  • After securing the fixture in place it is recommended that the gap between the mounting top and fixture base be sealed with any good quality waterproof caulk or silicone sealant (not included). It is also recommended that a small bead of caulk or sealant be put under the ball kn obs used to mount the fixture – see Drawing

  4. If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate (backplate) and the wall. This will help prevent water from entering the outlet box. If the wall surface is lap siding, use caulk and a fixture mounting platform specially.
  5. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

Grounding instructions

Flush Mount Fixtures
For positive grounding in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the fixture mounting strap (M) with the ground screw (S) – see Drawing 1.
Note : On straps for screw-supported fixtures, first install the two mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground screw.

Chain Hung Fixtures
Loop fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) under the head of the ground screw (S) on fixture mounting strap (M) and connect to the loose end of the fixture ground wire directly to the ground wire of the building system with appropriately sized twist-on connectors – see Drawing 2.

Post-Mount Fixtures
Connect fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post. Cover open end of the connector with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal – see Drawing 3.
