Product Usage Instructions

Mounting the Electromagnetic Lock:
To mount the electromagnetic lock, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a suitable location on the door frame or adjacent wall for installation.
  2. Ensure that the surface is clean and free from any obstructions.
  3. Attach the mounting plate to the desired location using the provided screws.
  4. Place the electromagnetic lock onto the mounting plate and secure it using the provided screws.

Connecting the Wires:
To connect the wires for the electromagnetic lock, perform the following actions:

  1. Identify the power source for the lock and ensure it is turned off.
  2. Strip the insulation from the ends of the lock’s wires.
  3. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) wires to the corresponding terminals on the power source.
  4. If applicable, connect the bond sensor and door position sensor wires to their respective terminals.
  5. Secure the wire connections with electrical tape or wire connectors.

Optional Bracket Installation:
If the door swinging direction or frame header requires additional support, install the optional brackets. Follow these steps:

  1. Identify the door swinging direction.
  2. Inspect the door frame header to determine if a bracket is required.
  3. Select the appropriate L-bracket, LZ-bracket, or U-bracket based on the frame header and swinging direction.
  4. Attach the bracket to the door frame using the provided screws.
  5. Mount the electromagnetic lock onto the bracket following the previous mounting instructions.

FAQ:

  • Q: How long is the warranty for the Electromagnetic Locks?
A: The Electromagnetic Locks are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of sale to the original customer.

  • Q: Are optional brackets necessary for all installations?
A: Optional brackets may be required depending on the door swinging direction and frame header. It is recommended to inspect the door frame header to determine if a bracket is needed.
